I’m working on an ad campaign and I’m not sure how to ramp up the volume without asking people to click on the ad itself. Most ad agencies like Google frown big time on asking people to click on an ad. One, I have to say before working on this campaign I’ve never asked someone to click on an ad before. Two, I used to be with Google adsense and someone from the same ip address clicked on my ads too often and Google shut me down. I asked for a second chance or at least an explanation of how it happened and they refused on both accounts so now I’m with a few different ad agencies trying to find out which one is the best one.
While I’m doing that I was chosen to participate in an ad campaign and not asked to post about, just to host the widget? So……
I’m wondering if since it’s an ad campaign that it’s actually different from sidebar ads. Does that make sense? It’s just a widget that I’m only going to have on my site for a month or two if I deliver enough impressions. So how would you ramp up the volume on an ad? Should I write a post just around that ad?
What would you do to Ramp Up the Volume?
