If you are anything like me, when you think stylish kitchen appliances/tools that you have out on your kitchen counter you aren’t exactly thinking a water filter. Sure the built in ones on the new refrigerators are looking pretty spiffy, but I know the first think I think of are those plastic jugs that never seem to fit in the refrigerator. Then I received an opportunity to test out one of these:
Super cool in design already, I totally judged a book by its cover and couldn’t wait to see what else this little water filter that could, could do. I was also thrilled that it looked super cool in my less than posh kitchen as well:
Soma is the beautifully designed, 100% biodegradable water filtration system and glass carafe. The glass is also drop-proof and easy to hold – great when you have little ones who want to pour!
Stylish, sustainable and a gift that gives back, also conveniently priced at $59, Soma looks great on dinner tables, kitchen counters, or even in your fridge!
My family has been using water filters for years as we live in the land of super off the charts hard water.-the kind of hard water that kills your dishwasher and other water utilizing appliances. Our other filters did the trick for the most part, but I have to say the taste of Soma filtered water is actually even better. It fit in our refrigerator in the milk jug zone beautifully. We were also thrilled to read that the Soma filter is 100% biodegradable, BPA-free plastic, and has fancy borosilicate lab-grade shatter-resistant glass. We have loved having it out on the counter mostly, and somehow it has even encouraged me to drink more water. As aesthetically pleasing as the design is, it was a little awkward to hold. I have a bit smaller of hands and it would feel a bit top heavy when I poured. The Soma filter is very reasonably priced at $49, and just $12.99 for the replacement filters. They even take it a step further and have an automatic filter subscription service so you never have to think to order! Overall this posh little number is now a staple in our home and has replaced its plastic jug competitors.
