What do you usually get or give for Valentine’s day. Do you just go out and get a box of chocolates in the heart shaped box? Growing up that’s always what my dad would get my step mom for Valentine’s Day and then I think he would end up eating all the chocolate. Then for the kids my sister and I would get a mini box of chocolates. For my kids they usually get chocolate at school and since we have home schooled we’ve tried to find parties for them to go to so they can still interact with others and get some chocolate. This year I’ve partnered with Hershey to make giving chocolate different this year. Hershey is making Valentine’s Day unforgettable this year with family-fun filled treats to create lasting memories and help you send a “message of love” to your other Valentine – your kids – with baskets of classic Hershey treats and new Hershey’s Kisses Conversation Candies (available exclusively at Target) and Reese’s Conversation Cups. Visit Celebrate with Hershey’s for more great ideas.
I have been tasked to create a fun filled basket using Hershey products that I received from them. Everyone is familiar with the Easter Basket, Hershey wants to start the tradition of creating Valentine’s Day baskets for your loved ones. Include Hershey treats as part of your favorite Valentine’s Day tradition, and start a new one with a Valentine’s Day basket!
We made two different chocolate crafts to go in our baskets Let’s start with out little turtle craft.
We started off with these supplies.
I used glue dots. A Reese’s Peanut Butter 5 oz. Heart, a Hershey’s Kiss, and four Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Hearts filled with caramel and googly eyes.
Now my other cute little character I made I used a few different products. We used glue dots again along with a white piece of paper to wrap the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar.
Attach the eyes to the hearts
Then added the eyes
Finally I added some feet and the mustache. I thin it might need a smile too.
Make this Valentine’s Day even sweeter for your littlest loved ones with a Valentine’s Day Basket surprise.
