Having kids means I have to treat over half the clothing before I wash it. Seems like having a boy makes it more than I ever thought it would be. Of course his clothes are covered from head to toe and I feel like I’m treating the entire shirt and not just a few spots. I have to treat my own clothing because they forget to wash their hands some I’m often used as a Kleenex or wash cloth for their face and hands. Sigh, Laundry is such a chore.
I just started using Shout Free and the Shout color Catcher. I like Shout Free because it’s fragrance free, dye free, safe on colorfast washables and works in all temperatures. Plus the trigger and spray works better than the other brand I was using, and what I mean by that is that it’s easier to squeeze and sprays a larger area if I choose. Because like I said sometimes I feel like I’m spraying the whole shirt so I like the sprayer. I’m easy to please.
I hate when clothing fades and bleeds onto the rest of the clothing. The Shout® Color Catcher® sheets absorb and trap loose dyes in the washing machine protecting clothes against color bleeds and helping preserve original colors. I was skeptical about it working but actually felt like the colors were brighter after my first use. Maybe it’s all in my head but I did a load of pink and red and used the Shout color catcher and it came out just a tad pink. I actually expected it to be bright. pink but it was only a very pale pink. And I threw in a very light colored shirt and it wasn’t pink either. So far I’m very pleased with the Shout Color Catcher.
Currently Shout is offering downloadable Shout coupons on the Shout Facebook page for Shout Free and Color Catcher with Oxi.

I generally try to catch stains and soak them before they have a chance to dry.

i need to get better with the stain fighting, a lot of times the clothes end up in the hamper instead of trying to get stain out right away.

I try to pre-treat stains before I wash our clothing, but it doesn’t always work.

I am very careful with my laundry and I check for stains, then pretreat and sometimes soak to get stains out.
I tell my family that if they have a stain on something, not to throw it in the hamper. I ask them to put it on top of the washing machine so I can pretreat the stain. I try to do it as soon as possible so the stain won’t set.
Thanks!

I do laundry on weekends. As empty nesters, this works for us.
if I can spot bad stains right away I soak them and use a stain treatener.

I use a messy stick that has been known to take the color completely out of the stain spot on a peach blouse.

I usually handle the laundry by letting my husband do it. He likes doing it so I happily oblige.

I separate mine out (Delicates, hand wash, more heavily soiled items like kitchen towels) and usually wash in cold water if it’s a load of clothing to prevent shrinking and save money. I use pre-stain treatments to deal with stain issues and love Shout! Thanks for the giveaway!
every day i do a load so it’s not overwhelming

My front loader with homemade laundry soap usually works, but I use a pretreater for tough stains.
Unless you want to look like you rolled out of bed 24-7, put away your clothes as soon as your done doing the laundry. Keeping them in a big heap may be convenient, but it’s also the easiest way to make sure each and every piece of clothing you have is wrinkled beyond repair.
