BY SUMMER:
I surprised Riley one morning with a pre-Halloween breakfast trick of Nature’s Path Peanut Butter and Banana Sushi. This was a very simple but messing little trick. However, it was worth the fun!
You only need Nature’s Path EnviroKidz Chocolate Koala Crisp cereal, a banana or two, and peanut butter.
I used one banana and found it easiest to cut the banana in half.
I spread the peanut butter to coat the cylinder-like body. At the end of the directions, Nature’s Path recommends using a toothpick to hold the banana while coating with peanut butter. I found their suggestion just didn’t work for me and I ended up coating my hand anyways.
Then you roll the peanut buttered banana in the Nature’s Path EnviroKidz Chocolate Koala Crisp cereal.
Cut into sushi-like, mouth-sized pieces and it’s a delicious Trick-AND-Treat!
Here are the directions from the Nature’s Path Recipe Page:
Ingredients
1 cup Chocolate Koala Crisps
2 bananas, peeled
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
Directions
1. Trim the ends from the bananas.
2. Spread half the peanut butter all over the outside of each banana.
3. Roll each in the crushed cereal.
4. Cut each into 6 rounds.
Though I offered the “sushi” as a breakfast option, it would also make a great snack for afterschool or at a Halloween party.
I like Nature’s path peanut butter, its so tasty.
I am going to make this for my son. He loves peanut butter and this looks and sounds delicious.
