Tonight was the World Premiere of Monsters University and I had a front row seat, I mean, my actual seat was in the very back of the theater in the nose bleed section in the balcony but hey I was there and saw the movie, and walked the red carpet and schmoozed with the stars at the amazing tailgate party. This is a picture of me and Jeana on the red carpet of Monsters University World Premiere.
The carpet was long as it lead you up to the entrance of the Monsters University tailgate party. Usually the parties are after the movie but this time the party was first and it was so much fun. Don’t tell anyone but it was my first tailgate party ever and I can’t wait to go to another one even if it’s only half as much fun.
There was lots of food, which was expected, but it was not catered, it was all local companies and national companies. Subway, and Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon, all are huge favorites of mine. Of course there were healthy brands as well like Crunch Pak.
In addition to the food were a lot of games and crafts. Lowe’s has a a set of at least three different kits you can do as part of their “Build and Grow” Saturdays. We made eye hairbands and played a few games.
I was amazed at how many actors that I recognized. I saw Ming Na, Jean and I even helped her find a Subway T-shirt for her daughter. She was so sweet, there was no way I was going to ask her if I could take her photo. I saw a lot of other famous people as well. Billy Crystal walked right past me and I cheered with the cheerleaders. My daughter wants to be a cheerleader so I can’t wait until I get home for her to see this fun photo.
Monsters University is a great family film and I can’t wait to take my children to the theater. We plan to go on the 22, because Saturdays are easier for us, but you get your first chance to watch Monsters University on June 21st.
