Today you might notice that I’ve been spending the day remembering Saturday morning cartoons. Of course, the cartoons as I remember came on Sunday mornings too, and during different days of the week, just depends on whose house I was staying at while I was growing up, mom or dads. I would watch the Flintstones and the Jetsons all the time, and when they combined them in a movie, I was ecstatic, and not disappointed. Now you can relive your memories of watching The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones as Warner Brothers is releasing this cute movie of the future meeting the past on DVD.
It’s the wackiest animated adventure of all space-time when the world’s favorite Modern Stone Age Family comes face to face with the First Family of the Future in a matchup that only Hanna-Barbera Studios can delightfully make possible! Thanks to Elroy’s malfunctioning tie machine, the Flintstones and Rubbles are zapped into the robot-run future while the Jetsons suddenly find themselves in the dinosaur-filed past. Can our fearless families adapt? And more importantly, will they ever get back home? Find out – in a time-hopping animated feature-length romp packed with all the gags, gadgets and nonstop fun unleashed when The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones.
As I’m sitting here with my husband writing up this review, he got all excited because he too remembers when The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones came out at the movie theater. He actually saw it in the theater. See, I can’t remember if I was watching this at my mom’s house or if we went to see it in the theater. We probably rented it. It’s the perfect combination of two classic cartoons. Picture Fred Flintstone in a flying car with a maid, and George Jetson without his luxury. It’s a really cute movie and it’s quite fun to reminisce.
Own The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones on DVD June 14th.

OMG! Jakub LOVES this movie! I think this might just have to be a Father’s Day gift!
YAY, I will have to get this!!! It was my top cartoon movie when I was little too. But I never did see it in on the big screen, had no idea it was even in the theaters! My Grandmother always would record such things for us from TV or rent the VHS. If she rented she would use her VHS video camera to play the movie, while her actual VHS player would record it?!?
This sounds so cute!!!!!!! I love the concept and can’t wait to see it with my kids.
