When I stayed there in the summertime I had my children with me. I signed them up for one day of summer camp and they had such an amazing time. They went swimming, hiking, rode the gondola and watched a movie. The only thing they weren’t allowed to do was take a nap. LOL, like they really wanted to take a nap anyways right!
When I stayed in the wintertime, I was by myself, learned how to ski, went snow shoeing, and took a sleigh ride to one of their restaurants that is usually only available to skiers.

The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quite roomy. Staying with my children we did two queen beds and when I stayed by myself I had a King’s size bed. The staff is quite friendly and very helpful, whenever I needed to find something they pointed me in the right direction. My kids loved the pool and enjoyed riding the Red Pine Gondola. I’ll never forget the first time I tried to get on it with both of my children. It was our turn to go up, the doors opened and my daughter jumped right on and my son screamed and ran the other way. I freaked out for a brief second feeling like I needed to be instantly doubled, my daughter was on her way up the mountain and my son was running the opposite direction. Not realizing they could stop the gondola if they needed to, I jumped on grabbed my daughter and jumped back off to find my son. I found him and then next time carried him on so we didn’t have a repeat. I love how family friendly Canyons Resort is and I can’t wait to go again with my whole family.
Oh Em Gee! We stayed at a cheap little motel when we went to the GC – if I’d known about this I would have begged my husband to stay there for even just one night! Maybe next time…
