Moving houses is the worst, right? So what makes this unpleasant task a little easier? Having all the supplies you need arrive on your doorstep! For our recent move, I enlisted the help of Extra Space Storage, a company that sends you prepackaged moving kits to meet all your packing needs. Ordering online was easy, and all the supplies, from tape to bubble wrap to boxes of varying sizes, arrived in the mail.
Having served their purposes in life post-move, my boxes were then destined for the recycling bin. But wait! Hadn’t my cooped up, fun-deprived kids been begging to play in the boxes since the onset of the packing? So I handed the boxes over to my little architects and let their creativity give them a second life. What did they come up with? Happy Fruit Castle (like many things in our house, I’m not sure where they got the name!), created with only the boxes, a pair of scissors, some tape, markers, crayons, stickers, and my kids’ imaginations! Not only did it breath new life into the boxes, but it filled a boring morning with a fun project for my kids. It was a much-needed break from the chaos of packing and unpacking for us all. To me, that’s Bliss in A Box.!
