By switching out juice drink boxes for milk boxes in school lunches, you can replace ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and artificial preservatives often found in juice for the calcium, protein and vitamin D found in milk, all of which are important for growing kids. We occasionally have juice boxes or juice with our lunch. So taking this challenge was really very easy for us.
The other reason it was really easy for us is because my kids LOVE the Horizon Organic Milk cartons. They fell in love with them this past summer as we went walking back and fourth from church to Starbucks. At the end of the walk they get to pick out a drink and surprisingly they always picked out one of the Horizon Organic flavored milks. They could choose from vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. YUM, I had to taste each flavor and I found that the vanilla flavor was my favorite. They taste so good.

Lunch Box
Both my kids still have lunch at home also making it quite easy for us to make the change. It was an easy challenge and a happy challenge because I hate giving them juice. It’s bad for their teeth and they get a sugar high. I know it’s a natural high but I want to pull my hair out, so I prefer giving them milk.
