We learn more from experience.
I’ve always been a fan of AT&T and TOMS. You guys should know as I’ve written about both brands many times on MomStart.
I’ve always known that TOMS gave a pair of shoes to someone in need with every pair purchased. It’s an amazing business structure. What I didn’t know was that AT&T has been part of that amazing business structure from the beginning.
This year marks the 10 year anniversary and they are celebrating this milestone with Blake Mycoskie, TOMS founder and Chief Shoe Giver and AT&T by taking fans through a special VR experience “A Walk In Their Shoes” that will immerse viewers in an actual giving trip. The setting of “A Walk In Their Shoes” takes place in Colombia and you will be able to turn, move and experience the action as if you were there. That sounds really cool to me. I mean I was just impressed with the video I shared with you.
In case you aren’t familiar with VR, it’s an immersive storytelling device that allows AT&T to connect TOMS fans with the amazing work that they are doing around the world with the help of AT&T’s network. AT&T’s fast network makes viewing VR content right from your mobile device super easy. I know first hand how amazing AT&T’s network is available at everyone’s fingertips. I’ve used so many different phones and devices on AT&T and I’ve been so impressed.
Because of my kids’ acting careers we have spent a lot of time in the car. We drive up and down the West Coast from Washington to LA and back. Now we travel from Ashland Oregon and back but life can’t stop because we’re in the car. The kids still have to do school and I sometimes have to work. So we have used different WiFi devices that AT&T has for amazing coverage up and down the West Coast. My husband has even used it to play video games while being on the road.
To experience “A Walk in Their Shoes” you can visit various events on AT&T’s YouTube Channel. If you don’t have a VR viewer, 100k pairs of TOMS shoes sold online will include a cardboard viewer. For more details you can visit http://att.com/TOMS.
