I’m currently a member of the Hormel Foods Extended Family Blogger Program and this post is part of my involvement with the group. While Hormel Foods has provided me material and necessary resources, including products and same-as-cash gift cards, to complete the activities shared on my blog, all statements and sentiment in MomStart are my own.
With football and hockey seasons kicking off, autumn means sports! And you can’t watch the big game without some good snacks. If your schedule is as crazy as mine is during the holiday season, you probably don’t have a lot of time to plan a complicated tailgating spread – so let me help you out with a few ideas that are easy and satisfying!
1. Hormel Party Trays
I recommended Hormel Party Trays during the last Super Bowl, so with football “kicking” off again (pun fully intended), I thought it would be a good time to remind you! This is the easiest way to please your crowd without having to do anything more complicated than pop open a lid. In fact, when I was helping Louise move earlier in the year, she bought one of these for us all to eat in the new house. We love yummy and easy!
2. Hormel Snackers Dip
SNACKERS Dip is another easy-peasy option for tailgate snacking. Simply heat it up in the microwave and serve it with your favorite chips. Yum!
3. Cheese & Chili Dip
If you like your dip a little heartier, then don’t forget about this two-ingredient dip using cheese and Hormel Chili!
4. Make Your Own Potato Bar
Hormel Real Bacon Pieces are a great pantry staple – after I got my product shipment last month, I took over a bag to share with Grandma, and she was very happy because she mentioned that she uses it in all kinds of dishes, so it’s very handy! One great way to put it to use this tailgating season is to set out a “Make your own potato bar” for your guests. This is a hearty, filling option that allows you to easily feed a crowd and lets them make whatever they like. To do this, bake some potatoes in advance and keep them wrapped in foil. For your toppings bar, set out the bacon pieces, sour cream, cheese, chives, Hormel Chili, CHI-CHI’S salsa, CHI-CHI’S jalapenos and LLOYD’S shredded meat. Let’s get this party started!
So what sports are you following this season?
