Tillamook Greek Yogurt My Favorite So Far

March 22, 2014 by Momstart 1 Comment

I love yogurt, my favorite kind is plain vanilla and some of the sweeter flavors. Some of the fruit flavors are too much for me but my kids adore them. I’ve never been a fan of Greek yogurt. I received samples of Tillamook’s new Farmstyle Greek Yogurt and it’s my favorite Greek Yogurt so far. I found that I actually like Greek Yogurt now. The Greek flavor to me is subtle making it tastier for me. Plus the flavor combinations are right up my alley. Aside from being insanely delicious, the new Farmstyle Greek contains no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, growth hormones, or high fructose corn syrup. It also features locally sourced fruit and nuts from the Pacific Northwest as well as buttermilk cultures for a less tart taste. Some of our favorite flavors include Oregon Blueberry, Cinnamon Hazelnut and Oregon Strawberry, which consumers preferred vs. Chobani Strawberry in a blind taste test 62% vs. 38%*.

I got to try almost every flavor; my kids beat me to a couple of them but I have to say my favorite flavor was the coffee one I had. Sitting here writing this review makes me want to get up and eat some more right now. I LOVE it and I love that it’s such a great snack and low in calories.

I love the size too because it’s great for the kids to take in their lunches for school.

Müller Dark Chocolate Corner Yogurt Gone Before I could Say YUM!

March 4, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

I received samples of Müller Corner Dark Chocolate Cherry, Raspberry and Pecan Granola. They were gone before I could even say yum. I put them in the kids school lunch shelve in the fridge and of course it was the first thing they picked. I didn’t even get to try them and I wanted to try them. Good think they are now in stores.

MULLER QUAKER DAIRY DARK CHOCOLATE

Each variety is bursting with the flavor of deliciously silky yogurt blended with irresistible dark chocolate shavings, thoughtfully paired with a side of delectable real fruit or crunchy mix-ins.

New Muller® Corner® Dark Chocolate Cherry, Raspberry and Pecan Granola join other fan-favorite flavors like Muller Greek Corner® Caramelized Almonds, Muller Corner® Choco Balls and Muller® FrutUp™ Luscious Lemon.

  • Muller Corner Dark Chocolate & Cherry – Every spoonful of the silky, lowfat yogurt blended with dark chocolate shavings and paired with luscious cherries is like happiness on a spoon…with a cherry on top.
  • Muller Corner Dark Chocolate & Raspberry – One delicious bite after another of silky lowfat yogurt blended with dark chocolate shavings and paired with refreshing raspberries is quite simply a fruitful favorite.
  • Muller Corner Dark Chocolate & Pecan Granola – With its irresistible blend of silky, lowfat yogurt and decadent dark chocolate shavings accompanied by crunchy pecan granola, this yogurt creates a silky yet crunchy combination that is pure bliss.

"Muller yogurt continues to explore and deliver scrumptious combinations with new Muller Yogurt Dark Chocolate with cherries, raspberries and pecan granola clusters. We are dedicated to providing irresistible combinations that satisfy consumer’s desire for great tasting food that they can still feel good about eating," said Barbara Yehling, chief marketing officer, Muller Quaker Dairy.

Muller yogurt is also introducing two new Greek-style flavors with Blueberry and Peach. Muller Greek is a lowfat, thick and creamy Greek-style yogurt that comes with crunchy mix-ins or fruit, such as Caramelized Almonds and Blackberry & Raspberry. Muller Corner pairs creamy, lowfat yogurt with delightful add-ins like Strawberry and Crunchy Granola. Muller FrutUp is silky lowfat yogurt topped with a light, whipped fruit mousse, available in fruit flavors like Luscious Lemon or Radiant Raspberry.

All Muller yogurt varieties are made with reduced-fat, Grade A milk and are a good source of calcium and protein. The suggested retail price is $.99 for Muller FrutUp and $1.29 for Muller Corner and Muller Greek Corner.

We Love Tillamook Yogurt @TillamookCheese Kids Eating Healthy! #KidsReviews

May 20, 2013 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Last year Tillamook introduced a new naturally sweetened Light Yogurt and their popular Lowfat Yogurt to families across the West and the positive response they received came not only from Moms and Dads, but kids who love Tillamook yogurt! My kids love it. They took my yogurt samples that Tillamook sent me and ate them before I had a chance to take photos or enjoy any of it myself. I wanted to try the vanilla but I guess since the campaign is all about the kids review then it’s ok. I am quite grateful though that I can just go to the store and buy some more on my own. We love Tillamook, it’s like a special treat, because even lowfat tastes decadent.

IMG_6594

Tillamook yogurt is made in the most natural way possible with NO artificial sweeteners, NO artificial flavors, NO artificial colors, NO high fructose corn syrup and NO artificial growth hormones.

To continue to spread the yogurt love, Tillamook wants to send kids some of their yogurts to try and review. They know kids have their own opinions on taste, favorite flavors, etc. and they want to hear what your little ones have to say in whatever way they want to say it – video, pictures, letters, or simply just smiles.

My Challenge:

‘The Kid Reviews’

· Tillamook will send your family Light and Lowfat Yogurt flavors to sample and review, as well as fun Tillamook goodies.

· Dig in and share your child’s review on your blog and social media.

· Tillamook will share the review on their blog and social media, reaching over 340,000 fans, including a brand new Kid Reviews Pinterest Board to celebrate the content.

So since my kids didn’t wait for photos we had to go get more yogurt. Here’s the after with my son….

Be sure to check Tillamook’s Pinterest page for more kids reviews.

Interview with Christine Coppa Nutrition Picky Eaters and Yoplait Kids

March 6, 2011 by Momstart 1 Comment

Nutrition and my kids are two things that are constantly on my mind. Feeding my kids nutritiously takes creativity and constant diligence to make sure that what they eat is healthy for them and healthy for me, my biggest influence over them is my example. Thanks to Yoplait Kids, I had the opportunity to interview Christine Coppa, Editor at Parenting.com, and we talked about challenges with feeding kids from picky eaters to big time snackers.

IMG_8695

In the first question, I wanted to know why Christine Coppa was working with Yoplait kids. Christine is a very well known blogger, and expert at Parenting.com. She often talks about nutrition and taking care of her own 3 year old son. Having a lot in common with Christine, I felt connect to her responses and feel that feeding kids healthy options is easier than it sounds. Yoplait makes low fat yogurt the common choice with kids with fun Cars, Disney Princesses and Dora packaging. Christine is a good fit because she already feeds her kids Yoplait and eats it herself as well.

Christine’s number 1 snack tip is to let the kids be in the driver seat. By keeping healthy snacks at eye level kids can go in and grab their own snacks. Have little containers of baby carrots, cheese sticks, and cherry tomatoes. Leave them on the bottom shelf for kids to find and get themselves, also have an area in the pantry of healthy non perishable snacks for them to choose from.

Be creative with picky eaters. My kids are addicted to dipping. Try using yogurt as the veggie or fruit dip, making a healthy wholesome fun snack. Also, try creating a kabob, use a wooden skewer and put veggies and fruit on it. Let them help in the preparation and encourage them to dip those kabobs right into yogurt. If you have trouble like me, with kids that want to eat all the time. Christine suggests using a schedule and distraction to make them think about food less often. We all eat when we are bored and if they are constantly doing something they won’t think about food as often. Also, remember that your example is the biggest influence on your children. My kids eat salads, raw carrots, and lots of fruit because they see Andrew and I doing it too!

When you’re on the go, snacking can still be healthy, you just need to remember to think ahead. Keep non-perishable food in the car so you always have it. Remember to restock it and pack some yogurt in freezer bag. Or freeze the yogurt and grab it on your way out then it will be soft for you to eat later.

Thank you Yoplait and Christine for all of this wonderful advice. Remember, you can win some Yoplait Yogurt. I’m working with MyBLogSpark on behalf of Yoplait. Visit Yoplait on Facebook to "Like" the brand. Also, be sure to "Follow" Yoplait on Twitter to keep up with the latest news from Yoplait!

Make Eating Healthy Yoplait Kids Yogurt #MyBlogSpark

February 23, 2011 by Momstart 211 Comments

Lunch time is and has been Zoe’s favorite meal for quite some time. She associates lunch time as Peanut Butter and Jelly with carrots, but today I wanted to make lunch a little different. So we had Ham and cheese, carrots and some of Yoplait Kids Yogurt in a cup. She’s not big on change so the yogurt smoothed over the fact we were having Ham instead of peanut butter.

When Miles and I went to the grocery store yesterday we set off to find the Yoplait Cars cups, but our grocery store only had Dora and Disney Princess, so I asked Miles to choose which one he wanted and he said, Let’s get princess yogurt for Zoe, it’s her favorite. So today, my little princess is sitting there eating her princess yogurt and look how happy she is.
