WRECK-IT RALPH Smashes into Theaters Everywhere on November 2nd Giveaway

October 20, 2012 by Momstart 134 Comments

I can’t wait to take my kids to see Wreck-it-Ralph. They are both ready to go see it and Zoe gets excited every time she sees a preview for it. What’s not to love in this movie? There’s sugar, candy, video games, flying insects of doom…Hmm. Maybe you don’t have to love the flying insects of doom.

From Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy®-winning director Rich Moore comes “Wreck-It Ralph,” a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping adventure. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day. Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

I Gonna WRECK IT!!

I’m Vanellope von Schweetz In Wreck-It-Ralph

October 14, 2012 by Momstart 9 Comments

I love visiting Disney Animation studios and learning the details about how a movie is made, why they made the decisions they made and well everything about the movie. I just came back from A Disney movie trip where I saw Frankenweenie, and Tinker Bell Secret of the Wings, and Wreck It Ralph. Wreck it Ralph is such a fantastic colorful movie and I can’t wait for the kids to see it. Even Zoe can’t stop talking about watching it. She’s so worried she’s going to miss it. We’ve already made plans to go see it with another family I know because they are super excited to see it too. image

On this press trip we did things like made cars out of candy and we even had the opportunity to play Vanellope von Schweetz. This is my scene as Vanellope von Schweetz.

And the video of me inside the recording studio not the movie clip:

It was so much fun. All I had to do was think back to my teenage years when I would just talk back and want everything to be my way. LOL. I wasn’t that bad, but as you can see I had it in me. I loved watching everyone take their turn and do the voice over in the sound studio. They are so nice there at the studio. The guys in the box, they just walked us through each step. Vanellope is quite the complex character. She’s like a spoiled brat but as you get to know her you find out it’s just a front because she has gone through a lot in life and Ralph discovers what they have in common. They never win, they are miserable and they become friends. I never saw that happening. Wreck It Ralph is going to be a HUGE hit.

Thanks to Disney for the Travel and Accommodations so that I could participate in the movie event.

Wreck It Ralph and My Sugar Rush

October 10, 2012 by Momstart 11 Comments

In California visiting the Disney Animation Studios we were presented with loads of candy. Why? Because the main world in Wreck It Ralph was Sugar Rush and Sugar Rush is made of candy.

image

image

So I did what any normal kid would do, I piled my plate full of candy and goodies.

image

And yes, I had quite the tummy ache the next day. Well, honestly I didn’t eat the candy it was used for building a fantastic race car that I’m going to share with you all very soon as a fantastic party idea to go along with the movie Wreck It Ralph. Our Wreck It Ralph press day included doing a voice over for Vanellope von Schweetz, interviews with Director Rich Moore and Producer Clark Gregg, a tour of the building with a sneak peek look at their next project and the Sugar Rush car contest. The tour was amazing because we got to see amazing character art and the process of some of the characters becoming their final look.

And I got to play the Fix-It-Felix video game old school style. My kids play it on the iPad. Yep that’s right. You can download Fix-it Felix for the iPad and iPhone.

image

Plus Ralph was there to pose with.

image

But the most fun, I think was realizing that the interview took place in Mickey’s magical hat.

Thank you to Disney for travel and accommodations so I could attend the Wreck It Ralph Press Day.

What happens when the bad guy no longer wants to be the bad guy? Find out when Wreck It Ralph wrecks his way into theaters by jumping video games.

On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty, and feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, who may just be his first real friend. But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself. Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day—but can he do it in time? “Wreck-It Ralph” crashes onto the big screen on November 2, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
