With back to school season comes germy season. It’s time to do preventative things to keep your kids healthy this year and I’m happy to participate with Walgreens in the Get a Shot Get a Shot campaign. We’re still on vacation but when we get back we are planning on getting flu shots and I love that when I get a shot at Walgreens we’re going to be giving a shot to someone in need. I love it. It really means a lot to me that I can easily stop for required vaccines, Immunizations for school and back to school items this year, but that every time I get an immunization for my kids at Walgreens……
I am helping them Give a Shot to a child in need. When your child (the program is aimed at school aged children, ages 7 and up) gets their school immunizations, like whooping cough or meningitis at Walgreens, they will help provide a life saving vaccine to a child in a developing country through the United Nation Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign.
Recently, I went to the Youth Spark competition that Microsoft holds. This is a competition where the greatest minds compete with projects that can make a huge difference in the world. One of my favorite projects was to raise awareness for a disease that there is medicine for where people need vaccines but people have to know there is a need for these vaccines. Shot@Life is a company that helps people in communities much like the communities these students were trying to help. Now I’m no a genius coming up with life saving programs, but I can help by supporting by Walgreens Get a Shot Get a Shot with Shot@Life.
Are you ready to help a child get a shot?
