Well, since I’ve had children vacations have to come to me. Two years ago, my grandmother came to visit. She wanted to meet her great grandson and see her great grand daughter that she had hears so much about. So I had a vacation with them. Then the same thing happened again this year when my dad came to visit. This time my husband and I stayed in a hotel and had a one night vacation. Not the vacation of my dreams but it was amazing nonetheless. I have not really traveled and had a vacation. We haven’t really even had a staycation. Unless you count Christmas time as one. We just exist. We do what we do and love it. We’re a family. I’m not saying we’re never going to vacation again, but one, it costs a lot to go anywhere and it’s very difficult to travel with little kids.
HomeAway Vacation Rentals is sponsoring a giveaway for 10,000 dollars to have the vacation of your dreams. HomeAway is searching for the person who is most deserving of a week-long summer vacation. Which of course is me, ok, it’s not me. I’m not quite ready for that kind of vacation. But who wouldn’t want 10,000? The grand prize winner will receive a $10,000 getaway to the vacation rental of their choice and the two runners-up will each receive a $5,000 trip. To enter the contest, all you have to do is submit a short text, video or photo entry explaining why you deserve to have your vacation saved by HomeAway. Hurry, the entry period ends July 2!
HomeAway Vacation Rentals is also interested in having the government declare August 7th as National Vacation Day. They would love it if you would be willing to help Save Our Summer Vacation by signing a petition. They believe that they are standing up for our rights to have a vacation that is affordable, to take a break from stress, recharge and relax, and be with friends and family.
