The object of Buzzword is to be the first team to score 50 points. To score points you must correctly solve a set of 10 clues. The "buzzword", which is found at the top right corner of each card, is contained in the answer to each clue. For example, if the buzzword is "sugar", one of the clues might be "This makes the medicine go down." The answer would be "a spoonful of sugar."
Hedbanz for Adults
To set up the game, each player wears a headband. Mix up the Clue Cards and place them facedown in the center of the playing area. Each player is dealt one Clue Card and, without looking at the card, places the card into the clip on the headband so that all other players can see it. Each player then gets three chips. Any remaining chips become the "bank". Hedbanz for Adults comes with six headbands, 200 Clue Cards, 24 chips, and a timer. It is for two to six players.
Spot it Jr.! Animals
Spot It Jr.! Animals is just like the original Spot It! game only simplified for younger children. There are five ways to play the game, but the object of the game is always the same: to find two matching cards. Spot It Jr.! Animals features 31 brightly colored cards with six different animal images on each card. But there is only one matching animal between any two cards. Players try to be the first to find the match. Depending on which of the game variations you’re playing, the player with the most cards, no cards, or fewest cards wins. The game comes with 31 cards and illustrated rules packaged in a tin canister. It is for two to six players.
Roll & Play
(Ages 1.5 and up/$19.99)
Roll & Play is a game specifically designed for toddlers that introduces them to the basics of gameplay. Through the play, children are also introduced to colors, counting, animals, and more. To play, simply toss the big plush cube and identify which colored side faces up. Choose a matching color card and perform the simple activity shown on the card. There are six card categories for each of the colors on the cube: Emotions (yellow), Body Parts (purple), Animal Sounds (green), Counting (orange), Colors (blue), and Actions (red). For example, an Emotions card might say, "Make an angry face" and show an image of a child with an angry face. Once you’ve acted out the activity on the card, roll the cube again. You can make the game as long or as short as you want because there is no "object" to this game. No one player will be crowned the winner. You just keep rolling the cube and acting out what’s on the cards for as long as you want. The game comes with a large plush cube, 48 activity cards (eight in each category), a storage pocket on the cube for the cards, and an instructions and parent’s guide. Roll & Play is for two or more players.
