The Must Use Coupon Site: Instant On-line Savings with CouponMate.com

November 25, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

This is a partnered post, opinions are my own.

image

I was starting to think that all coupon sites are a like but now after looking at couponmate.com I’m SUPER impressed. Yes Couponmate.com is a site that you go to to look up coupon codes and they have a vast selection of stores and websites that they offer coupon codes for. However, they have this unique Chrome add on that allows you to see if they have a coupon for that site you might be shopping on. That’s where coupon sites have left me dry before. I FORGET TO visit them before I shop. See the red icon in the picture below, that’s the indication there is a coupon!

image

The extension can be downloaded for free and is easy to use (the extension is currently exclusive to Google Chrome; the Mozilla Firefox and Safari web browser versions will be available very soon);

Here is short video demonstrating what the extension can do:

The goal of the CouponMate extension is to make the “coupon hunting” process easier.  They search the web daily for all the best coupon codes for over 100,000 brands, and they are even working to automate the process of applying the best code to your cart. About 250 websites are supported for this automation so far. It’s so cool. You go to a site and that red icon appears. You can either look at the coupons and make your best choice or if the automation is on the site it tries coupons for you until it finds the best one to work.

You’re able to browse the latest coupon codes for websites you visit at any time without having to leave said website, and on supported websites, you can also use our “Find Best Coupon” feature which will appear in a small window during checkout to automatically find and apply the best code for your specific items. We hope you find the extension to be successful and easy to use.

CouponMate is designed to make coupons readily available for you as you surf your favorite shops. There are two types of supported websites:

Type 1) These are websites for which we collect coupon codes – these coupon codes can be viewed in a side window from your browser, clicked on, and copied directly to your clipboard. You can then paste these codes to the appropriate place at checkout.

Type 2) These websites have all the capabilities of Type 1 in addition to having an automated “Find Best Coupon” feature which will search through the best coupon codes found and automatically apply the top code for your purchase.

It’s a really cool way to save money and so easy to use!

10 Frugal Saving Plans To Enact Before 2014 Ends

September 5, 2014 by Momstart 1 Comment

Guest Post

Saving should be a regular thing, especially when you receive your pay check. But often times, a lot of us feel the need to spend when occasions come up, kids’ tuition are due, emergency situations happen and so on. Before 2014 ends, look for ways to save. Savings can come from sale colognes and clothes, recycled house items and more.

clip_image002

To get you started, here are 10 effective frugal saving plans.

1. Skip on Starbucks for a change. If you’re a coffee person and you need that caffeine running through your bloodstream in the morning, just make brewed coffee at home or at the office for free.

2. Look for coupons. Couponing can be extremely addictive, especially when you arrive at the cashier and you realize you’ve only got $5 to even nothing to pay. You just have to be very patient when looking for and cutting coupons.

3. Flush less if you can. Or if that grosses you out, simply take the last wash on your laundry and flush your toilet manually with a pail.

4. Always purchase colognes and makeup when they’re on sale. These products have lengthy shelf life so you don’t need to consume the amount right away. Pay a visit to your local drugstore and check whether they are on sale or not. Or if you really need a fragrance at the very moment (as present for instance), check out BeautyEncounter.com.

5. Spare some time on weekends to de-clutter your home. This will enable you to discover things you have forgotten over the months or years which can still be used. There’s no need to buy, let’s say, a new pan or new set of glasses.

clip_image004

6. Need extra cash? Why don’t you sell some stuff you no longer use? It can be an exercise equipment, old but usable clothes, furniture, gadgets, etc. Proceeds can help you pay for future monthly bills.

7. Limit the use of your credit cards as much as possible. Use them for out-of-the-country trips or emergency situations where you will have limited access to the ATM.

8. When buying ingredients for tonight’s dish, minimize buying tons of meat, especially pork. Instead, think of dishes that would involve vegetables as the main star. Veggies aren’t just cheaper than meat. They’re highly nutritious, too.

clip_image006

9. Always have a goal or dream board to convince you to save more. Yes, you have all those dreams in mind but it’s a different feeling when you can actually see photos of what you want to be or where you want to be. If you want to visit Japan after 6 months, stick a photo of Mt. Fuji on your fridge. Planning to buy a new car? Put it up on your work desk so you’ll be constantly reminded to work hard.

10. Drink more water and less soda. Soda contains lots of sugar and calories which in the end will be the cause of more illnesses such as diabetes. This can lead you down to the path of obesity, too. Stay clean and healthy and save more just by drinking plenty of water.

Saving Money on Baby Items Like Formula at Walmart

February 24, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

I am blogging on behalf of Walmart.com, but the views expressed here are solely mine, not Walmart’s. Shop online and save money to live better at Walmart.com.

My children are 14 months apart. Meaning, my daughter was six months old when I became pregnant with my son. I breastfed my daughter until she was a year old, and two months later when my son was born, I wasn’t able to breastfeed him. So we decided that the best route for him and me was to use formula. Formula is quite expensive, and we soon found out he had a milk allergy. So we had to switch to the even more expensive formula for him. I did everything I could to save money on formula. image

I wrote to the formula companies asking for coupons and I signed up for all the savings programs I could. I even shopped around to find the best place to find a great price on formula. I even found that some stores had different prices even though they were the same store in different cities. Gah! Finally I found that the best price was at Walmart. Walmart’s goal is to save people money so that they can live better, and Walmart.com is no different. It’s a lot like your neighborhood Walmart store with an incredible variety of high-quality products and, of course, Every Day Low Prices.

zoe feeding miles

Between coupons and the low prices at Walmart, we were able to save quite a bit of money. And as my son was on formula for a year, my daughter was onto solid food and baby food. The great thing about Walmart is the large variety in one place at a low price. I could find everything I needed there. So I would stock up on diapers, baby food, and formula all in one place. And if there was something I found online, I could get it delivered to the store for me to pick up that day. Walmart.com offers unique features like in-store pick-up, ratings and reviews, and even lower prices you can’t get anywhere else. To see for yourself, please visit: Walmart.com

Using Online Coupons to Save on Baby Products

January 29, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

If you have a new baby in your family, whether he or she is your first child or your sixth, you’re probably on the lookout for ways to make your life more efficient and ways to save money. Even if you are just preparing for the arrival of your new baby, you’re probably already gathering baby products and supplies. Whether you’re shopping for essentials, like baby skin care and diapers, or you need specific items like clothing or furniture, the Internet is a great resource for parents. Shopping online for baby products is a great way to help you save time and, perhaps more importantly, save money.

Shopping Online for Baby Products

There are many different ways to shop online for baby products, and you can probably find most or all of the things you need for your baby online. Online retailers offer daily products like diapers and bottles, as well as larger purchases like nursery furniture. If there is a particular type of baby product you want to purchase, such as organic baby care or cloth diapers, shopping online can be an excellent way to find products that may be more difficult to locate in your local physical stores. Shopping online also saves you a lot of time. You can shop even when stores are closed, which means you can shop on your own schedule, and you can quickly find and purchase the things you need for your baby without ever leaving the house. This will save you the time it would take to drive or travel to a store and, if you would need to take your baby along on the shopping trip, it saves you the time and preparation of getting ready to take your little one out with you.

Using Coupons to Save on Baby Products

About half of the American adults who used the Internet in 2013 were expected to use coupons, according to eMarketer. If you haven’t been using online baby coupons, you’re missing out on a lot of savings. While there are many advantages to shopping online for baby products, such as convenience and being able to locate hard-to-find items, one of the biggest advantages is the savings you can find with the use of coupons for your baby care purchases. There is a current trend in online coupon usage that is making more and more online retailers aware of how important it is to provide online coupons.

If you use baby coupons online, you’ll be one of the many parents who take advantage of online coupons to save more money on Internet shopping. More than 35 percent of parents use online coupons, according to PRN Newswire. If you sign up for email alerts from your favorite online baby store, you can get daily updates in your inbox about what coupons are available that day, and you may also get special coupon codes that are only available to loyal customers.

Using baby coupons when shopping online is a great way to save money, and online shopping is a great way to find the exact products you need for your baby, like organic baby products, clothing made from natural materials, cloth diapers, and other items that aren’t as easy to find in stores. The growing popularity of online coupons means that it will be easier than ever for you to find great online deals for all the baby products you need. Once you find an online store that serves all your baby product needs, you can quickly and easily log on to get and use coupons, save money, and order exactly what you need for your baby.
