Every event is a good event for a tasty popsicle treat and we spent all summer enjoying Popsicle Treats. . Now that’s it’s back to school season doesn’t mean that the Popsicle fun needs to stop.
Last night we had a huge block party and quite a few members of the neighborhood and all of their children came to the party. It was bring your own meat and we had steak and my husband cooked it up fantastically. The HOA provided all of the side dishes, snacks and desserts and low and behold there were two boxes of Popsicles in the ice chest for the kids to dig into. YUM! Everyone thinks of Popsicle!
Back to school season also means back to sports routines and events to come. We have been contemplating what sports we’re going to be doing this year, I’m having quite a hard time deciding which one to let Zoe do. She says she wants to play soccer but she doesn’t like running so I’m not sure that’s the sport for her. She also wants to do ballet but the weekday class is full and the Saturday class would make it difficult for us to have family days on Saturday. I want to put her in swim lessons but she is screaming against it. So I’m trying to think about the sports she does like.
This summer we tried Badminton as a sport. It’s going to be a while but I think with practice we could get really good at it and have a great family team. That might put her in a good position to take up tennis. It’s not that I’m going to force her into doing sports that’s not what I’m saying here, I just want to find something she’s interested in. Miles, I think he would like soccer because he’s great at running and kicking the ball. That day we tried out the Badminton it was really very hot so we cooled off with a box of Popsicle pops.
