Tackling Household Stains – Inside and Out: OxiClean Versatile & Dishwashing Booster

January 6, 2014 by Momstart 5 Comments

During the holidays with a house full of people, the last thing I wanted to think about was cleaning stains. I had eight people total in the house and even though the kids have a rule about keeping food in the kitchen, I didn’t have that rule for the adults. So food ended up on the carpet. And Yes, we had an accident with a drink being spilt on our couch and our dishes needed some extra help. My brother-in-law had a tiny accident, it wasn’t his fault though, I think I was the one that actually spilt it. So I had to clean it up and it was nice to have some Oxi-Clean on hand.

With my dishes, my glasses have been all foggy! Plus we need to get all the pies and grease and you know all that stuff from all of the Christmas special meals off the dishes. I did a lot of cooking, a lot.

We had such a great time and lots of food. We had a turkey and a ham and a salad from Plated.com. We had dressing and mashed potatoes and just everything you expect in a holiday feast.

imageOver the holidays I received OxiClean Verstaile Stain Remover – to get rid of tough stains (oil, grease, wine, and more) on your linens and apron – and OxiClean Dishwashing Booster – to give you sparkling clean dishes right out of the dishwasher, without the without the spots and streaks.

I added the OxiClean Dishwashing Booster to the dishwasher and with the greatest of ease all the food come off.

The OxiClean Dishwashing Booster supercharges your detergent with tough stainfighters so your dishes will be cleaner and your glasses sparklier than when using detergent alone. Plus, it rinses clean for a streak free shine. Just fill the rinse agent dispenser for crystal clear dishes every time. And for those extra tough jobs, add two squirts into the bottom of the dishwasher.

You can see the difference.

Brighten Up Your Ball Game OxiClean Giveaway

May 21, 2011 by Momstart 265 Comments

The nice weather finally hit Washington and it feels like Spring has Sprung. One of our family favorite past times in Spring and Summer is Baseball. I personally love going to watch a live baseball game at the stadium. With Miles getting older though, it won’t be long before he starts playing baseball himself, and with the constant rain in between the sunny days baseball means mud and grass stains.

For years, OxiClean has been the go-to stain remover to help parents get their kids’ dirty uniforms their whitest and brightest all season long. The brand is now helping to brighten up the season by asking parents to submit their own story and photo on the new OxiClean Facebook page on why their child’s softball or baseball organization needs help from OxiClean to clean up their game. From new uniforms, lights, equipment, or turf, to handicap accessibility or transportation – whatever the little ballplayers need, OxiClean will donate $10,000 to one organization in need.

This campaign OxiClean just launched nationally is called “Brighten Up Your Ball Game” and it’s a contest on Facebook.  With sports funding and athletic programs being cut all over the country, the brand will donate $10,000 to one lucky youth baseball or softball organization in need of a little brightening up! OxiClean is also teaming up with Laura Posada, sports mom and wife of famed baseball player Jorge Posada, to help judge the contest.  As an “OxiClean Umpire,” Laura is encouraging parents nationwide to enter the contest and she will help judge and pick the grand prize winner. For more details about the "Brighten Up Your Ball Game” contest including official rules and regulations, visit www.facebook.com/OxiClean.

OxiClean Baby Stain Remover Review

January 24, 2010 by Momstart 2 Comments

We recently received OxiClean Baby Stain Remover to review on Mom Start. It arrived while I was recovering from surgery so I wasn’t able to use it until recently.

My husband was in charge of laundry while I was recovering and he said it doesn’t work. My son gets dirty every day. He always gets breakfast, launch and dinner on his shirts. He gets everything on his shirts. Lately he has even gone as far as eating, and then in between every bite he wipes his hand on his shirt. Uggg. I’m in the process of teaching him not but for now, I need to just use a good stain remover.

Product Description:

OxiClean® Baby Stain Remover is a versatile baby stain remover for baby clothes and other washable fabrics. When bad stains happen to good clothes, this powerful baby stain remover will keep your baby washables looking great.

Usage:

Succeeds in the removal of the toughest baby stains: baby oil stains, baby food stains, baby formula stains, diaper leakage, spit up, jelly, spaghetti sauce, juice and more baby stains. Versatile: For washable baby dress clothes, play clothes, linens, blankets, pajamas, car seat and stroller fabrics, bibs and more. 100% fragrance, dye and chlorine free. Colorsafe.

Normally I am very happy with products. I’m really easy to please but the only way to get this OxiClean to work is to drown the shirt in the spray. Most OxiClean products I’ve used in the past you can see it working. Like when you have a red whine stain and you use Oxi Clean on it, you can just watch it disappear. This stuff is quite different. I have a feeling that the reason it doesn’t work very well is because it’s “baby” formulated.

My advice is, completely spray the stain by soaking it in the OxiClean Baby. Let it sit for five minutes before putting it in the laundry. Then you should be happy with the results.
