Happy Baby: Organic Snacks For Little Ones

September 28, 2014 by Beeb Leave a Comment

Happy Squeeze Pouches

Samples provided.

Did you know that September is National Organic Harvest Month? And there are organic options available for the whole family: Happy Baby is a leading provider of organic foods for babies and toddlers. All of their foods are packaged in easy, grab-and-go premade portions, so all you have to do is toss them into a diaper bag and hey presto! You’ve got organic snacks available for your little one anywhere you go. Our family are already fans of Happy Baby – my cousin loves the products for her 12 month old because of the convenience – so I thought I’d share a few of our top picks:

Happy Puffs:

Happy Puffs

Happy Puffs come in a lightweight, convenient canister that is very portable; perfect for metering out a few puffs at a time to babies and toddlers while you’re on the move. These Purple Carrot & Blueberry puffs are also gluten free!

Happy Munchies:

Happy Munchies

Happy Munchies are light little rice cakes that come in flavors like Blueberry & Beet. Designed for ages 7 months and up, these are meant to help older babies learn how to eat with their fingers.

Squeeze Pouches:

Squeeze Pouches

Happy Baby has a number of convenient squeezy pouches for ages 7 months plus that are lightweight and easy to take along wherever you’re going. Once you’ve opened them, just pop them into the fridge and make sure you use them within 24 hours:

  • Super Acai White Grape & Apple with Super Grain Salba: This pouch is worth a 1/2 cup serving of fruit!
  • Greek Yogurt: I received the Peachy Keen and Super Strawberry flavors from this line, both of which are a source of calcium and vitamin D.
  • Hearty Meals: These are a fun collection of savory meals that come in flavors like Ratatouille; “Mama Grain”, a mix of apples, peach, banana, brown rice, oats and quinoa; “Chick Chick”, a blend of chicken, veg and quinoa; and “Gobble Gobble”, a mixture of turkey, veg, fruit and quinoa that would be perfect for baby at Thanksgiving! These pouches can be heated in hot water if desired, but it’s not necessary.

Visit HappyFamilyBrands.com to order these products online or locate a store near you. The site also includes resources and tips for age appropriate feeding.

Perfect Snacks from Happy Family Foods

September 8, 2012 by Momstart 17 Comments

By Christine:

I have been a big fan of the Happy Baby line of organic baby foods since my oldest daughter was a baby.  Four years ago the product line was just developing and all I remember buying at the time was Happy Puffs. At the time I was was so happy finally find an organic, lower-sugar alternative to the mainstream brands.

Fast-forward to about five months ago when baby M started her first solids.  I was happy to pick up some Happy Baby Puffs again, and was curious about all the new product offerings. We recently tried the Happy Munchies Carrot Rice Cakes and was pleasantly surprised that both my four year-old and ten month-old like them.IMG_0900

I was sent several product coupons to use to purchase other Happy Family products to try and review.  I did have a hard time locating a store that carried the full line, and didn’t have much luck at mainstream grocery stores.  I had the best luck at Target who seemed to carry almost all products in the Happy Times line. We ended up coming home with the following products: IMG_0895

Happy Times Mixed Fruit Yogis

Happy Times Veggie Pals

Happy Creamies Veggie & Fruit Snacks with Coconut Milk

Happy Tot Plus Puree

IMG_0897We divided up trying the products, based on age.  A who is 4 years old tried the Veggis Pals Carrot, Orange & Apple Chews and the Mixed Fruit Yogis. She really liked the Veggie Pals Chews, and is looking forward to having them in lunches or in our "free choice snack bin" in the pantry.  She didn’t care for the Yogis though.  She thought the taste was ok, but wasn’t a fan of the melting & texture. A has always been a bit particular about foods when it comes to texture, she gets that from me. I think a younger child would like them but I didn’t try them with baby M because they contain dairy.

M who is 10 months old sampled the Happy Tot Plus puree in strawberry, kiwi, beet & pear. She really liked that flavor and ate it up. That is saying something because right now she is more interested in finger food and self-feeding, rather then any type of baby food or really anything I try to give her with a spoon. I brought the pouch in the diaper bag when we went out to diner with friends.  It was so convenient to have the pouch, rather then a heavy glass jar of food to carry around.

M also sampled the Happy Creamies, which I am most excited about.  As I’ve mentioned before M is dairy sensitive, intolerant, etc so it can be hard to find melting snacks for her that don’t contain dairy.  I love that the Happy Creamies are made with coconut milk instead of cow’s milk or soy.  We tried two flavors, and she preferred the carrot, mango & orange over the strawberry, raspberry & carrot. Next time I go to the store I’m going to pick up some of the apple, spinach, pea & kiwi to try out.

I am happy to give Happy Family foods to my girls because I know they are healthy, delicious & safe products for their growing minds & bodies. To read their complete Mission & Promise .

Not only are they providing healthy food for babies and toddlers they are concerned with their carbon footprint. They make their packaging eco-friendly and take helping non-profits very seriously; which is why they were so kind to make a donation through me. Making a difference is something I find very important no matter how small. They go even farther; for every product purchased, HAPPYBABY works with Project Peanut Butter — a non-profit that provides food for starving children in Malawi — to feed one child for a day.
