Have I ever told you that my least favorite time of the day is the bed time routine. I go nuts every single day trying to make sure that the kids do a good job brushing their teeth and when it comes to me brushing their teeth it squirm here squirm there and a wiggle there and a blah. I’m pulling my hair out. Not only that but if I told you the truth I don’t brush my teeth twice a day every day, which also means that sometimes I forget to make sure the kids brushed their teeth that morning too. I’ve been better about it recently but now is the time to nip it in the bud.
Listerine is putting my family to the test:
Oral disease has become the number one chronic childhood illness in the U.S. – and just in time to help combat the Halloween sugar rush, the makers of LISTERINE® SMART RINSE® are teaming up with non-profit organization, National Children’s Oral Health Foundation, known as America’s ToothFairy®, for the third year to teach kids how to be Sweet Smart when it comes to protecting their teeth each day. As part of this campaign, they’re inviting you and your family to get involved and help spread the word about taking on a healthier oral care routine.
To help encourage kids to adopt healthy oral care behaviors, the makers of LISTERINE® SMART RINSE® are asking you and your family to re-evaluate your oral care habits and learn why taking a few extra minutes a day for a complete oral care routine that includes brushing, flossing and rinsing is so important. To complete the challenge, you and your family just need to brush, floss and rinse every day, twice a day for three weeks.
I’ve accepted the challenge!
This is my plan. I’m going to approach this with a fun and happy attitude. I’m also going to show my kids how to brush their teeth. I’m an ambassador for the Damon System and I’ll be sharing more about that with you guys over the course of the following months. They sent me a set of teeth and I can’t wait to use the teeth to make sure my kids are flossing and brushing correctly, or at least that they have the concept down.
I’m also going to use the chart that Listerine sent me, oh that and all the new products. It was time to switch out my kid’s toothbrushes in the downstairs bathroom. It’s probably time to change mine down there too. It helps us to remember to brush in the morning before school if we all do it at the same time and two if we have it downstairs. Keeps me from being lazy. My goal is to make sure we are doing it twice a day, flossing and rinsing.
