I recently realized that fruit is a great addition to a sandwich and they say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away….. Now this recipe actually calls for pears you might want to switch it up with apples. Either way it’s a healthy sandwich that packs a lot of flavor. This recipe was created by Sara Lee.
Open Face Ham and Pear Sandwich
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 1 serving
1 slice whole wheat bread, toasted
1 tablespoon raspberry preserves
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 cup arugula
2 ounces sliced-to-order Sara Lee® Deli Lower Sodium Honey Ham
3-4 pear slices
1 tablespoon blue cheese crumbles
1 tablespoon chopped toasted pecans
1. Spread bread with raspberry preserves; sprinkle with rosemary. Top with arugula, ham and pear slices.
2. Sprinkle with blue cheese and pecans. Serve immediately.
