Meet Piggy Paint the natural odorless kid-friendly nail polish. Coming from a stay-at-home mom named Melanie Hurley. Melanie was worried about the chemicals from nail polish being digested and inhaled by her two daughters that love having their nails polished. After watching nail polish that was solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually leave big holes in a foam plate she went on a quest.
My quest was on, and Piggy Paint™ was born. As you may have guessed, our polish is NOT flammable and sits beautifully on the unaffected foam. We hope you enjoy this water-based polish that is specially formulated of natural ingredients. Finally, a kid-friendly polish without the accompanying drawbacks of traditional polishes. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone… and made in the USA!
From my heart to yours, I hope Piggy Paint™ takes the worry out of painting your little one’s nails and puts the fun back into this enjoyable activity you can share with your daughter and other precious girls in your life.
I figured it would be years before I could paint nails with my daughter. I threw all of my polish away because I don’t have time to treat myself to something like that. If she saw me doing it she would want me to do it to. She still puts her fingers and toes in her mouth all the time so I like Melanie didn’t want her to be anywhere near nail polish.
I found Piggy Paint on other blogs and asked if I could do a review of it. They said yes and here we are, with blue nails all around and my daughter asking when can we do it again. It was a special treat for her because the day before she had a really big boo boo. Painting her nails with mommy made her feel special and helped her to not think about the pain she was in. It was nice for me because we got to do it together.
I didn’t even notice that it didn’t smell. It’s a good thing. I think I was halfway done and I thought, wow, it really isn’t smelly. This was the color we received. At first I wasn’t all that excited about it. It’s Tea Party for two. The bottle makes it look like it’s really a dark color for a 2 year old, but once it was on our nails it looked shiny and lighter. I think we’d be happier with Girl’s rule but I can always purchase it later.
