School started and now it’s time to start looking at Halloween and then Thanksgiving and then Christmas it’s going to get busy busy busy really quickly. So let’s take this one step at a time starting with decorating pumpkins with Michaels. Michaels sent us some pumpkins and a gift card to buy some supplies to use to carve and create our own masterpieces.
I was asked to participate in a Pumpkin challenge actually and I wasn’t really sure what to do until I went into the store. They had so many different supplies and just walking up to the door I was hit with an idea. Michaels has fall colored leaves and flowers outside their store on sale. SALE caught my attention then I thought, I’m just going to cut the top off of my pumpkin and stuff it with leaves and flowers.
As I continued through the store I found more and more and more stuff that I wanted to use and I ended up spending $150 because I overspent and picked up some other fall related things that I felt inspired by. I’m like a kid in a candy store when I’m in a craft supply store. So yea, I bought out the store, went straight home to create my pumpkin.
Plus if you still don’t have any idea what you want to make you’ll find lots of samples in side the store.
A decoupage pumpkin. I bought a lot of the decoupage pumpkin supplies.
And you can also get a pumpkin custom carved. Just go into the store, pick out a pumpkin, pick out a design and order the carving to be done for you. Your neighborhood will think you’re an expert. I also picked up enough supplies for Miles and Zoe to make their own but their creations will come closer to Halloween. I have to find time to sit down with them.
