La Lumière illuMask LED Light Therapy Mask Anti-Aging or Anti-Acne Treatment

April 27, 2014 by Momstart 2 Comments

I feel like it’s a secret that no body wants to talk about but once you enter your 30’s acne comes back to haunt you. I have the same amount of acne that I had when I was a teenager and it drives me nuts. So when I was offered the chance to review the illuMask LED Light Therapy Mask Anti-Aging or Anti-Acne Treatment I said yes please.

I haven’t tried it that long yet and since I’m traveling I left it at home but I really did find it to be a simple step in my day. I wore it while I was working. You just put it on like a pair of sunglasses and turn it on. The lights are blue and pink and they are very bright but once the mask is on your face you really don’t notice it much at all.

Name: illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask

The illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask uses gentle red and infrared light wavelengths and uniformly distributes the light over the entire face for a short 15 minutes a day. Containing 30 treatments in one convenient, lightweight mask, the Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask is an ultra-affordable step in your skincare routine that delivers clinically proven results. Safe for all skin types and tones, the gentle treatment does not emit any damaging UV rays. Clinical results showed illuMask™ Anti-Aging Phototherapy Mask to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in as little as two weeks.

Price: $30 for 30 treatments

Where to buy: Ulta, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, or via www.illuMask.com

Name: illuMask™ Anti-Acne Light Therapy Mask

Scientifically proven to be an effective way to treat acne, among other skin conditions, light therapy, or phototherapy, is a transformative treatment safe for all skin types. To make phototherapy accessible and easy for all, illuMask uses groundbreaking, patented technology to deliver all the benefits of light therapy in a convenient hands-free mask. The at-home light therapy device slips comfortably onto the face, just like a pair of glasses, for a 15-minute treatment that delivers better results than the leading prescription drug acne treatments. The illuMask Anti-Acne Light Therapy Mask is FDA cleared for the treatment of mild to moderate acne. Clinical results proved illuMask left skin clearer, smoother, and less oily with fewer blemishes.

Price: $30 for 30 treatments

Where to buy: Ulta, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, or via www.illuMask.com

One thing that I don’t like about it is that every time you turn it on and then off the counter goes down, even if you didn’t mean to because you were just testing it out. I was showing my kids what it does and ended up using 3 treatments before I even turned it on for myself to actually use.

This revolutionary device is the first of its kind, available as an anti-aging or anti-acne treatment, and allows you to “bring the dermatologist home” by providing a gentle 15 minute per day treatment that emits safe, effective LED light to the skin. The illuMask works as well as department store devices that cost hundreds of dollars, with the added bonus of convenience and affordability. It is safe for all skin types and contains 30 daily treatments, making it an easy step to any existing skincare routine.

Get Rid of the Old and Bring in the New Christmas Lights

December 7, 2010 by Momstart 4 Comments

I love a good purge, it’s so refreshing to clean up and just be rid of all the junk. I’m going to admit that in the past we’ve been very wasteful. When we do a purge we just dumped it all. Yes, I’m really embarrassed to admit this fact, but I am proud to say it’s a thing of the past. Now, I donate as much as I can and find other uses for things that can not be donated or recycled. Over the next few days Summer is going to be helping us with tips on how to purge ourselves of different types of electronics. Today, Summer has great Christmas Lights Displayadvice on how to make room for new Christmas Lights.

It’s time to make the upgrade if you already haven’t … new holiday lights. What’s your excuse for not buying LED twinkles for your tree and house? The Home Depot is offering a “buy back” program where they’ll give your $3 for each stand of light you bring in towards the purchase of an LED strand. I don’t know about you but I spent less than $3 on my non-LED lights. LED stands for light-emitting diode. But what does that mean to you? LED lights save you on electricity as they claim to pull 90% less electricity when turned on compared to regular or non- LED lights. So you’ll also see more green on your electric bill for December – money that is.

If you find that Home Depot is no longer running the promotion, do not toss your lights. You can donate your Christmas Lights to the Christmas Lights Recycling Program.  All proceeds from the Christmas lights recycling program will be used to purchase Usborne books that will be donated to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. If that doesn’t work for you find another place to donate them, ask your school if they need any Holiday Lights (I know it’s sad many places no longer have public Christmas displays anymore, but I don’t see any harm in some Christmas lights do you?), or offer them to a church. Don’t put them in a landfill!
