By Rachel:
Do you know anything about wrestling? I sure don’t. But I do know workouts, and Yoga is one of my favorites.
DDPYOGA, created by iconic wrestler, Diamond Dallas Page, is Yoga, but not what you think of when you think Yoga. Which is exactly why I wanted to have a look at this program.
I love Yoga. I’m always telling my husband that he should do yoga. But he doesn’t. Because he hates yoga. He thinks it’s boring. I really have no idea what he’s talking about or how yoga could be boring, so I just have to assume that he’s not doing it right.
At any rate, the slogan stamped across the DVDs and instructional booklet pulled me in:
“IT AIN’T YOUR MAMA’S YOGA”.
Well, maybe that will appeal to him!
The DDPYOGA at-home fitness program has 2 DVDs that each have 6 different workouts , which vary in length and focus. The program is ideal for if your schedule doesn’t always allow for a long workout. It also does not require a bunch of special equipment, so you can do it on vacation, too.
The program comes with a nifty poster that shows all of the positions and what they’re called in DDPYOGA, which is handy since some of the names of the poses are not exactly the same as what they’re called in traditional yoga. Good to have for reference.
The instruction booklet is not just instructions. There are pages of healthy recipes to help you get the most of your workout. There are pages where you can record your diet and your exercise, and a spot to record all the progress you’re making!
