    Teen Alice in Wonderland:
    Hi, my name is Teen Alice in Wonderland. My friends call me Ali. I go to Fairy Tale High with my BFFs, Belle, Little Mermaid and Tink. I love painting and exploring new places. I have the cutest striped kitty cat named Chessie that I adore. Sometimes he sneaks into my backpack and comes to school with me. I hope he doesn’t make anyone sneeze!

Teen Belle:

Hi, my name is Teen Belle. My friends call me B. I attend Fairy Tale High with my best friends Alice, Little Mermaid and Tinker Bell. My favorite class is cello. I have been playing the cello since I was seven years old. After many years of practice, I’m actually pretty good. I also love, love, love shopping for new clothes and hanging out with my friends. I’ll see you again soon. It’s time for cello practice.

Teen Little Mermaid:

Hi, my name is Teen Little Mermaid. My friends call me M. I’m so excited to be going to Fairy Tale High with my BFFs Tinker Belle, Alice and Belle. I am so in love with the beach and swimming! I live in a palace under the sea with my family and swim many miles every morning to get to school. I am also captain of the swim team! You can also find me singing my heart out before school, after school, even during school! Singing is one of my favorite things to do in the whole wide world. I know my voice classes at Fairy Tale High will help my singing be even better.

Teen Tinker Bell:

Hi, my name is Teen Tinker Bell. My friends call me Tink. Fairy Tale High is the best school ever. I love hanging out with my friends Alice, Little Mermaid and Belle. I also love creating cool gadgets out of my friends’ stuff and fixing computers. I sing in a rock band called The Pixie Chicks. You should definitely check us out. Well, it’s almost time for class. Having wings makes it a breeze to get to school. I can just fly there!!!

Teen Sleeping Beauty:

Hi, my name is Teen Beauty, but my BFFs call me Sleeping Beauty, because I need a ton of beauty rest! I take naps whenever and wherever I can. I attend Fairy Tale High with Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel—my three fav friends! I am really into making clothes and my favorite class at Fairy Tale High is Fashion Design. Hi, my name is Teen Cinderella. My friends call me Cindy. I go to school at Fairy Tale High with three of the coolest kids in the kingdom—Rapunzel, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. I have the best shoe collection… although I always seem to be missing one! I could dance all night, but I never stay out past midnight. I can’t wait to have a ball with my prince charming at the school prom!

Teen Snow White:

Hi, my name is Teen Snow White. My friends call me Snow.  I just love going to Fairy Tale High with my best friends in the land Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Rapunzel. I am crazy about music and love writing songs! In my free time, I play the piano. But who has the time? It seems like I am constantly taking care of my seven little brothers! That’s okay though because family comes first.

Teen Rapunzel:

Hi, my name is Teen Rapunzel. My friends call me Gigi (that stands for Golden Girl, because my hair is so, well, gold)! I attend Fairy Tale High with my besties, Cindy, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Hair is my life! I style it and work it every day and night. You’ll never spot me with a bad hair day, and thanks to my style abilities, none of my friends have to worry about that either! When I’m not fussing over my hair or someone else’s, I’m singing. Even though I am only in high school, I am already a professional singer and perform shows all over town. Come see me at my next gig! I always get back stage passes for my friends.

Wiggle and Giggle with Radio Flyer’s Ziggle With Miles

I was watching as Miles figured out how to use the Radio Flyer Ziggle. I actually thought it worked a different way but once he was on it he figured out how o use it. Kids just DO…

I actually really like the Radio Flyer Ziggle. It separates the legs better than the Plasma Car does. I think the only difference is the Plasma Car holds up to 150 pounds and the Radio Flyer only goes up to 81 pounds. Here is our video of Miles doing his ride on review of the Radio Flyer Ziggle.

It seems to me that the positioning is better on the Ziggle as well, plus it has an adjustable seat making it easier for kids to use for a longer period of time. We currently have the chair all the way in the back position. The handlebars are soft and it really is creatively put together.  The neighbor kids already came into my garage once and ran across the street with it. One kids sitting on it and the other kid pushing.

So the key to using the Radio Flyer Ziggle is to twist the handle bars back and fourth from side to side. It will make a great Christmas gift this year. Plus as far as ride on toys go the price is just right. I think anything over 50.00 for a ride on toy is just too much, so at 49.99 it’s a great price.

Good Cook Cupcakes Carrier & Pumpkin Cupcake with Pumpkin Cream Cheese Icing Recipe

I decided to spend the day making some last minute Halloween goodies and at the top of my list was a pumpkin cupcake with Pumpkin cream cheese frosting.

Pumpkin Thor Dark World Cupcakes Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Ground allspice
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Pecans, chopped

DIRECTIONS:

1. Tools needed: Good Cook Nonstick Muffin Pan, 12 cup

2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a muffin pan with paper liners and set aside.

3. Place flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and allspice in a large bowl, whisking to combine.

4. Place butter in the large bowl of an electric mixer. Add sugars and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Add pumpkin puree, buttermilk and vanilla, beating to combine.

5. Gradually add flour, beating until batter is smooth. Add pecans and stir just to combine.

6. Spoon into prepared muffin pans and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 16-20 minutes.

7. Remove from heat and let cool on wire racks to room temperature before glazing.

Ingredients:

8 ounce cream cheese (room temperature)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spices

How To Etch Glass: Great Holiday Gift Idea Step By Step @Smuckers #holidaytips

While I was in Orville with Smuckers (they provided transportation and accommodations) I learned just how easy it is to etch glass. You get a jar, you clean it, decorate it, put gel on it, then wash it off and wow. you have a masterpiece.

Smuckers brought about 15 bloggers in to teach us some really great holiday tips, from recipes to decorating and I’m so excited to share them with you guys. So this is how I made an etched glass cookie jar for our family.

Supplies needed:

Glass item
Rubbing alcohol
Vinyl stencil, stickers,
Painters tape
Utility knife, razor blade
Etching cream
Latex or vinyl gloves
Hand held squeegee
Foam painting brush
Dish soap or just Hot Water
Rags or paper towel

Directions:

Clean all surfaces of the glass with rubbing alcohol.

Create your decorations or get an idea of what you want your jar to say or look like. I think sticker work best. See how I used the stickers to say Zoe and Miles Treats.

Then decide on what shape you want. I wanted a heart, so you put tape on a brown paper bag or something. Draw out the shape, circle, oval, square or heart. Then cut it out. Then peal off the painters tape and put the tape on the jar creating the shape.

Put on the gloves, do not let children to this part. After that you will put a very thick coat of the etching gel with the sponge brush on the jar. Let the gel stay on the jar for 5 minutes then you wash it off with hot water. You might need a little soap but hot water should be enough. Be sure to read the directions on the particular etching gel you are using.

And then you have your jar ready for using, and it takes great photos.

In our family we love to do stockings and Miles was at first a challenge because I didn’t think about anything other than cars, then I remembered how much he loves action figures and Angry Birds. Building sets have been a favorite gift of kids for what seems like forever. There’s something about being able to create and build things that can keep kids occupied for long periods of time. The Kre-O Transformer Building Sets are sure to follow that tradition with their great robot character designs.

 

You might be wondering what Kre-O sets are. Kre-O is Hasbro’s launch into the world of building sets that was up until now dominated by Lego. In fact, Kre-O is compatible with Legos and other similar style blocks. Unlike Lego, many Kre-O sets have multiple ways to build. I had the chance to look at the Street Showdown Set which can be used to build two robots or two racers. According to some other Kre-O experts, Kreons use balljoints in the arms and legs which make for more realistic action. Kre-O also has Battleship and Transformers sets which are unique to the Hasbro line.

There are a lot of small pieces involved in Kre-O sets. That means they are definitely not appropriate for young children as they could definitely be choking hazards. It also takes some pretty well developed fine motor skills to put the pieces together. The recommended age for Kre-O Building Sets is 7-14, but I could see children a little younger using them with supervision and help. I could also definitely see older kids… and even adults building with them too. I have a brother in college that almost got one of these sets for Christmas this year!
