Gifts Teachers Want: 15 Ideas

December 14, 2015 by Beeb Leave a Comment

Gifts Teachers Want

Sample provided.

Whether you’re looking for a gift for your child’s teacher, or have friends that work in the education field as I do, you’re probably wondering what kind of gifts teachers want for the holidays. That’s why I’m pleased to introduce you to Teacher Peach!, a fantastic line of products made just for teachers. They have a wide assortment of gift sets that are special for being both thoughtful and practical. They’ve paid great attention to detail, putting together great kits of products that teachers will use in their classroom, with designs that emphasize bright colors and words. They’ve thought of everything, including Sharpies that read “Teachers Only!” – I’ve helped my teacher friends label things for their classroom before, so I know how important that is! These lovely gifts are available in options for every price range and feature everything from the class supplies teachers always need (And usually spend their own money on), to fun and unique: They have a “The Real Teacher’s Pet™” line of pet accessories, which I think is perfect since all the educators I know also love animals! Secret Santa Gift Ideas for Colleagues

December 9, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

It’s that time of year again, you pulled a name out of the Secret Santa hat and now it’s time to embarrass them in front of the entire office (not in a spiteful way obviously, it’s all in the name of banter). There aren’t many people who take Secret Santa seriously, it’s a laugh, and it always gets office banter flowing at the office Christmas party. People either love it or hate it, but if you have a good sense of humor it can be great fun and create bundles of laughter and jokes that will last throughout the year. If you’re struggling for ideas on what to buy which can be certain to embarrass your colleague, here are a few ideas that may help you for inspiration: shutterstock_164632142

Embarrassing Photo Mug
Get hold of an embarrassing picture of them and get it printed on a mug so EVERY cup of tea or coffee they have at the office this embarrassing picture will be on display. They won’t be able to get away with not using it as the whole office will know about it and it will quite obviously be theirs! If they don’t use it, they’ll get more banter for being a spoilsport. You can make your own mug at Zippi and many other online sites.

Insults and Comebacks Book
If your colleague is forever giving rubbish comebacks in the office, this book is the ultimate Secret Santa gift for them, which is sure to give everyone a good laugh. You could write on the gift tag that ‘you thought he/she could do with some help in this area’. The book is even pocket sized so they can quickly whip it out their pocket when they can’t think of a good comeback!

Vitapens
Perfect for the lazy colleague that’s allergic to work, vitapens are a useful yet quirky gift. The vitapens are shaped like capsules and will help your colleague to highlight a problem in a piece of paperwork. They are also great for those who are constantly poorly or always suffering from a hangover.shutterstock_229128070

Grow Your Own Girlfriend/Boyfriend
If you get the singleton of the office for secret Santa, this gift idea is ideal, just ensure they can take the banter and you don’t actually offend them. The girlfriend or boyfriend toy is 6cm and can expand up to 600% when placed in room temperature water. It shrinks slowly back to its original size when taken out of water. The best thing is the toys don’t argue, complain, snore and always shuts up!

Nothing
Did you get the person in the office that constantly goes on about having everything? All the latest gadgets and gizmos, wears all the latest trends and you’re sick of hearing about it? Then this ‘nothing’ gift is the perfect gift for them. The gift is filled with absolutely nothing (except atoms and other scientific things that make up air).

A Father’s Day Gift Children Love: Microsoft Mice

May 28, 2012 by Momstart 16 Comments

Sometimes it’s hard to let the kids pick out the Father’s Day presents and have them be something dad might actually enjoy. I remember getting my dad sock and underwear and occasionally I would find something he would be able to put on his desk at work. I know dads are amazing and always love whatever the kids get him for Father’s Day. Some of them will secretly return the gifts so why not find dad something he can use at work, have on his desk that reminds him of his kids all day long?

IMG_8787

My kids LOVE playing with Microsoft Mice. You might ask why I let them play with the mice, well it’s because they have their own. We received a few extra mice when Miles had his Microsoft photo shoot and it got me to thinking that they would love to get their dad a new mouse and Microsoft has a very LARGE selection of mice you could get dad for Father’s day. Plus depending on how simple or complicated of a mouse you’re looking at they come at many different price points.

Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas 100.00 Red Envelope Giveaway

February 6, 2011 by Momstart 1,393 Comments

Red Envelope has tons, and yes I mean tons of great gift ideas for all occasions, including Valentine’s Day. Not only do they have all occasions covered but they have gifts that are just right for about anyone. I really like looking at Red Envelope for gifts, I was introduced to them last year, I ordered a picture frame collage that was in bright colors. It’s pretty cute! As I searched even deeper into their site this year looking for a gift for my husband, I found some really great gifts that I want to share with you.

Gift ideas for Women:

These are items I would enjoy getting for Valentine’s Day.

arometherapy wrap & bootieschocolate covered strawberriesYear of Seeds

aromatherapy wrap & booties , 12 Hand-Dipped Valentine’s Berries , year of seeds and that’s just to name a few. I have a hard time choosing something because they have so many really great options. I’d also be happy with a new picture frame, the cubist appetizer serving set, or something from their home and spa section.

Gift Ideas for Men:

Now for my husband it’s a little more tricky to find the right gift. A lot of men would be happy with a fancy tie, a Mr. Beer premium home brewer, or a men’s navy terry robe, which are all items that can be found on Red Envelope. But for my husband we need to go a little more techy or modern.  Like:

hidden message money cliphidden message collar staysgadget charger for the car

hidden message money clip wallet, personalized hidden message collar stays, gadget charger for the car

Then if you really wanted to go all out for Valentine’s day I would recommend some sexy but quite tasteful items from Red Envelope. For instance, you would try out the sexy stackers game or the wrapped in love throw and of course you could match yourselves up in the king + queen of hearts lounging shorts.

sexy stackers gamewrapped in love throwking + queen of hearts lounging shorts

RedEnvelope makes Valentine’s Day a cinch. Once you’ve picked out the perfect gift, choose delivery dates (including day-of shipping), select gift wrap, add a personalized card, and you’re set. No more trips to the mall for tired greeting cards and tacky ties!

As you’re gearing up for the Holidays and planning out your shopping strategy, I want to share with you some exciting news. We all know what a big part of the Holidays the Sears Wish Book is and this year the tradition that we all grew up with comes with a twist.

The Wish Book has gone virtual with a brand NEW and fully interactive online catalog shopping experience. I have taken a look at it and it has a table of contents and a search option so it is very easy to use. Much easier than the catalogue we usually peruse.
