Card Game: Pick And Draw Game

March 20, 2014 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Both of my children love to draw and have for a few years now. As they get older their dexterity gets better and they are able to draw more complicated drawings. Plus we love to give them How TO Draw books to give them great ideas. Then A company contacted me to review the Pick and Draw Card game and I was all for it because it’s such a fun idea.

IMG_1052

  • Pick and Draw is a fun, one-of-a-kind drawing game that teaches you how to make very creative cartoon faces.
  • There are 60,000 different possibilities in the game (a deck of cards).
  • The game uses mainly simple shapes everyone already knows how to do thereby giving confidence to those who try.
  • It is simple and easy to use providing endless hours of fun and learning. In five minutes or less you will know how to play.
  • It can be used by one person or by any group number.
  • It also opens up creative thinking and using the imagination.
  • This makes “success” possible providing a good kind of confidence to encourage continued learning.
  • Best of all, it’s alot of fun!

It’s such a fun way to create fun faces. Plus playing it as a family is a lot of fun. You’ll all be laughing at what is created.

Grow Up Monster Strong: Monsters University Vitamins & Beastly Breakfast Blitz Video Game #MonstersUPremiere

June 17, 2013 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Want to grow up to be a big scary monster like James P Sullivan? Monsters take their vitamins and drink their milk and then they grow up to be big and strong monsters that can attend Monsters University. My little monsters want to stomp in the footsteps of the great Mike and Sulley so how do you think they start their day in our house. They start their day with Monster’s University Children’s Gummy Vitamins and a bowl of cereal. My two little monsters love the vitamins! We found the vitamins at Costco, but I’m sure you can find them at a store near you and of course you can find them on Amazon and even save money buying them with the subscribe and save. clip_image001

If you need some help motivating your little monsters to get in that healthy bowl of cereal with a glass of milk then maybe they would be interested in playing the Beastly Breakfast Blitz game.

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY students are waiting on YOU to serve them healthy breakfasts with milk as fast as you can in the new game, “Beastly Breakfast Blitz” (http://milk.am/mugame)!

Fill every monster order before time runs out to move through new levels, and experience an entire week of breakfast in the MU cafeteria. You’ll need to be quick – these little monsters need to fuel up for scaring school with milk’s high-quality protein at breakfast!

CITYVILLE Monopoly: The Fast-play Way To Build Your Dream City

December 1, 2012 by Momstart 8 Comments

Monopoly editions now include CITYVILLE. Can you believe I’ve never ever played the CITYVILLE game on Facebook by Zynga? NOPE! I used to spend all my time playing Facebook games but that was before I had children, a job, a blog or a life. I’m just saying, I have no idea about this game except that you can build a city and invite your friends to play and spend money to increase your city size.

image

Build the City of your Dreams!

image

Open franchises, collect rent and arrest criminals. It’s a booming time, better start building.

CityVille is the largest game on Facebook by monthly active users, according to AppData. In CityVille, our players build the city of their dreams. Players can build homes, businesses, famous landmarks and public buildings to grow their city. In addition, players can socialize within cities with their family and friends by asking them to help by working in community buildings, such as police departments, or by building franchises, such as toy stores. CityVille surpassed 61 million MAUs within the first 50 days after launch. CityVille was our first game launched in multiple languages (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish). In June 2011, we launched CityVille Hometown, a mobile application available on Apple iOS platforms. CityVille Hometown enables players to build small towns and villages and connect with their Facebook friends.

Features

  • Build famous landmarks and public buildings
  • Work in your friends’ businesses
  • #1 game on Facebook (Monthly Average Users)

image

Now you can build the city of your dreams together, right at home playing CITYVILLE MONOPOLY. You can buy the properties you love from the online game and build on them as you wish! Be the first to grow your neighborhoods and build four skyscrapers to win! Pick your favorite mover and then start buying up properties in this CITYVILLE-inspired MONOPOLY game. You’re the mayor and you need to grow your city to keep the citizens happy. Build houses, set up businesses and provide community spaces any way you want! With more chances to buy properties, you’ll be able to build your city fast. Decorate your properties with Mystery Gifts and also share some with friends. They’ll increase the amount of rent you can collect. Be the first to grow your neighborhoods and build four skyscrapers to win!

CITVYVILLE MONOPOLY Includes:

Gameboard, 4 Movers, 66 Buildings, 16 Skyscraper Tops, City Money, Zoning Permit Cards, Mystery Gift Cards, Visitor Center Cards, 2 Dice, Game Guide and Digital Value Card

Xbox 360 Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure

November 30, 2012 by Momstart 10 Comments

First thing that happens, is it creates you as a Pixar character, by scanning you in, and uses a little trick to duplicate the color of your clothing, into each of your characters attributes. But when we bought it 8 months ago it was really hard for our kids to make changes and interact with the system. They easily got frustrated and gave up on this game.  It uses KinectScan to transform you to a unique character you help your Pixar friends in five vibrant Pixar worlds. You can become a super spy in Cars, save the day as a robot in Toy Story, adventure through Paris as a clever rat in Ratatouille, stop Syndrome as a super hero in Incredibles, and help Karl as an intrepid Wilderness Explorer in UP. The attention to graphics is also incredible, as the game is being played, you actually feel like you are watching a Pixar movie. The concept of the game is quite simple, your character, is dropped at a Pixar camp, which you can freely roam around in. It’s much like the Disneyland Adventures game where the kids get to roam around the park there is just an emphasis on Pixar which we are all big fans of Pixar. I think since they like the Disneyland Adventures game so much that it now might be time to revisit the Kinect Rush game.

image

imageExplore and discover:

Experience the sights and sounds of each Pixar world as you solve puzzles and uncover hidden secrets. Meet new friends and unlock adventures as you progress.

Cooperative gameplay:

Your living room is your new playground! Team up with friends and family to help your Pixar friends. Kinect allows anyone to instantly become part of the action. Share special awards and achievements online using KinectShare. When playing in co-op mode, there are many "team" objectives where one person has to do one thing and another has to do something else simultaneously in order to continue.

Key Features

    • Fast-paced Adventure
    • KinectScan – Play the leading role as a unique character in your own Pixar story
    • Full Body Movement/Gameplay
    • Puzzle Solving
    • Cooperative Gameplay with Pixar characters or another player
    • Explore faithfully rendered Pixar worlds (immersive worlds)
    • Unlock in-game content and characters
    • Collectibles

    We purchased this game ourselves.

Win Learn & Donate Playing AXA Equitable Pass It On!

    September 6, 2011 by Momstart 16 Comments

I’m asked to review websites and on-line games all the time. Most of the time, I turn it down, reviewing a game or website takes a lot of time and I don’t usually find any value from it. However, when I was asked to review AXA Equitable Pass It On on-line game, I said yes for a few reasons.

One, my readers, you guys, are quite interested in winning giveaways. with AXA Equitable Pass It On you have the chance to win $25,000 or $15,000 cash prize.

Two, I have a huge interest in supporting my community and charitable organizations whenever I have the opportunity. By participating in the game you will be helping others as AXA Equitable and the AXA Foundation have selected the American Red Cross, CARE, and Scholarship America to receive a grant based on the total number of votes received by Pass it On! players during the campaign period. The more you and I play the more votes the charities earn.

While you have the opportunity to win and give you will also be learning a think or two about insurance plans and ways to protect your family along the way. Pass it On! is described as being a game between Monopoly and Risk which are two games that I Love to play. After playing  Pass it On! myself, I felt it reminded me of the Game of Life too.

Playing Pass it On! is simple you choose which type of family you want to be.

    image

As a family of four myself I’ve chosen the white picket fence family. The first time I played, I made the right choices and then the daddy died. Because I chose the gold Permanent Life insurance my family was protected and provided for after his death, but the rest of my family didn’t have any insurance. So the game started the next level with the mom making all the decisions. Since I knew that the gold Permanent Life Insurance was what I was supposed to buy, I decided to buy the silver term insurance. Term insurance ran out after three turns and after I ran out of insurance, I quickly ran out of money.

Moving around the board is quite easy. Everything can be done with the mouse.

    image

As you take the challenge and lead generations across the country from New York City to St. Louis to New Orleans to Mount Rushmore and finally, San Francisco and complete a level then you have the opportunity to make a charitable vote. And as I mentioned above each vote increases the amount of the grand that your charity choice will receive. You will learn about life choices, finances and the rewards you can reap by planning ahead. I don’t know that much about insurance personally. My husband makes all of the insurance decisions so it was interesting to play and learn a few things. It’s very important if you have children or anyone in your life that you provide for that you have a plan. You need to make sure your insurance will cover your income/all of their daily needs in the event something happens to you. So do your research and get some insurance. Be prepared for any emergency!
