I’m a Microsoft Windows Champion and share information from the program.

It’s the end of the year and you could probably still honor a teacher you know buy getting all the students in the classroom to make a contribution to the teacher by using the Chip In program from Microsoft. The new seasonal student buying program called “Chip In” to help students or teachers get a new Windows 8 PC for back to school.

It’s a pilot program this year, where Chip In lets students and teachers with a valid .edu email address crowd-source funds to help them purchase a qualified PC of their choosing from MicrosoftStore.com.  Anyone that has a student ID can qualify for this program.  Microsoft will “chip in” 10% of the purchase price and for the first 10,000 students to fully fund their PC, Microsoft will also “chip in”  Office 365 University at no additional charge! So I’m really thinking about asking all of the parents if they want to do this for Zoe’s Kindergarten teacher. I mean what a way to show someone you appreciate them, or to get a student going off to college a new PC.
