I’m Dipper In Planes Fire And Rescue

July 3, 2014 by Momstart 9 Comments

One of my very favorite things to do is a voice over. I love to visit Disney and do a voice over for a movie. I’ve been Piglet from Winnie The Pooh, Olaf from Frozen, Dottie from Planes, Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph. And I love doing it every time. It’s not as easy as it looks but practice does help the confidence inside the booth.

This time we had a script and were supposed to time the words correctly. Sometimes they have the words on the screen and you have to read them off the screen this time we had a little music stand with the script. We get to wear the headphones so we can hear the other person’s lines and then we say ours. Here I am in the studio and you can hear the lines, but what you can’t hear is the director inside the recording booth giving me specific instructions.

As you can tell, even though I’ve done this a few times, I still need a lot of direction. This is me with the animation.

Planes is a really cute movie and Dipper is a great character. She’s a huge huge fan of Dusty’s and follows him around. She has a lot of energy and is great at putting out fires.

YES, It’s The same The Little Mermaid BUT High Definition (Disney’s The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition)

October 1, 2013 by Momstart Leave a Comment

Ha! My daughter was so confused about when this movie was made. We received the Little Mermaid on Blu-ray combo pack and she thought it had never come out into homes before. When we were watching it she was so excited that one of her friends was over to watch it with her. She was happy because she thought she was sharing a new experience with this little girl because it’s the first time you can watch it on TV. (It’s out today by the way..)

My son was annoyed because I was singing along with every song

And then my daughter found out that her friend had seen the Little Mermaid on VHS, not knowing what VHS is she was still confused as to how her friend had seen it before when we were the “FIRST” to own it. I had to explain to her that it’s the first time you can watch it in HIGH DEFINITION, but the Little Mermaid came out when I was a little girl. clip_image001

Somehow, she still misunderstood. She thought this was a new version and this was still the first time it came out. Then her dad explained it, in what I thought was the exact same way I did, but finally she understood. The Little Mermaid is now in High Definition, it’s the same movie mommy saw as a little girl and the world is ok with everyone being able to sing along.

Well, unless you ask my son, he still groans every time I try to sing along. Little does he know I could quote the entire movie. LOL….

“It’s a dinglehopper. Humans use these little babies… to straighten their hair out. See? Just a little twirl here and yank there and voila! You’ve got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over.” – Buddy Hackett voicing ‘Scuttle’ in The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid is the Disney classic that inspired a whole generation to find their voice! To celebrate the October 1st Diamond Edition release of The Little Mermaid on Blu-ray Combo Pack, we’re delighted to share Ariel’s music themed activities and clips featuring some of the film’s most memorable songs!
