Heaven is For Real: The Eternity Conference

Heaven is For Real is a statement of truth, a statement of hope, and a statement of faith and a statement of love. It’s also a best selling book that just became a movie. A movie with a low budget, amazing actors and a whole lot of faith behind it and it’s stood quite well on it’s own in the box office making more money than recent animated films with huge budgets. God is speaking, are we ready to listen?

I met the Burpo family at the press junket for Heaven is For Real and love their hearts and trust their story. I’m so moved by their story that I’m proud to support my church by posting about the Eternity Conference June 5th – 8th. My church has been so moved by Heaven is For Real and the fact that people out there are in need of faith, hope and love that we’re putting on a conference for our community. We’ve sent out flyers, we’ve prayed for you, we’ve prayed for people we don’t know to attend the conference and learn even more about Eternity. We have the top Christian Speakers that have excellent backgrounds with their expereinces with eternity. Be it, Colton’s visit to heaven or Don Piper’s near death experience “90 Minutes in Heaven” it’s sure to be a motivational conference.

The Conference is FREE. YEP, we just want you to hear from GOD. It’s June 5-8th at Evergreen Community Church in Bothell WA. The speakers are

If you’re wondering what to do with your kids, you bring them that’s what you do. The children’s ministry spent all month last month studying the children’s educational series “Heaven is For Real” where Colton shared his memories with the kids over video. The kids are super excited to meet the real Colton. My kids want to meet him so bad, I think for them it’s like Thomas wanting o see the nail scars on Jesus, if they could see him in person then they would believe even more.

I open this invitation, even if you don’t believe in God or heaven, you have to come listen to these stories, go watch the movie Heaven is For Real or read the books by these authors. Most people our searching for something, stop searching, take that first leap and come listen to these amazing real life stories, and you might find what you are looking for.

A Reflection On The Value of Time and Giving

Talking about my blog is very difficult because I quickly feel like I’m bragging and I often do not give credit to God. Why is my blog so successful?? I know the answer is because of God. I have God in my life and what God gives to me I try to share with others and so forth, it’s a cycle of receive and give that goes on and on.

Also, talking about God is hard for me to do publicly because I worry about what others will think. God has changed me over the past two years. I have more courage to blog about Him and the changes that have occurred in my life. I’ve been attending a church that speaks to me. I learn! I love going and I even stay awake. I’m really shy by nature and talk to others is a real effort. Guess what? It’s gotten so much easier and people have noticed. Blogging friends have noticed how I stepped out of my shell and now I volunteer to do things first. God gives me the strength to talk to others, the strength to help others and the strength to love those I don’t even want to love. Everything I am and have comes from God.IMG_9645

In a time where we think of time as one of the the most valuable commodities I find myself giving my time to church and to others. Yes when it comes to my blog there could never be enough time in the day, or the week. I wish there was more time every day, I could work 20 hours a day and it still wouldn’t be enough to maintain this blog if I did it all myself. But that’s not what God wants. When I put Him in charge I found I didn’t need to work as hard. I found that He wants me to give my time to my family, to my friends and to church and always to Him. I have great joy in giving and seeing others happy. SO I GIVE! I love to give my time my heart my things and God blesses all of these. I spent one whole week serving at church for sports camp. I came home every night and crashed, I was exhausted. I had no new content on my site. God showed me that he didn’t need new content to send traffic to my site. He didn’t need me to make my business succeed. He showed me that he could bless me while I was serving His kingdom. I had one of my highest traffic days when I didn’t touch my blog for three days. So I know without a doubt in my heart God wants me to serve and give in every way I can.
