I’ve asked Janie to share one of her fabulous recipes with us and she sent me this Chicken Piccata recipe. I’ve never heard of Chicken Piccata before, but it looks and sounds delicious because I love anything with garlic and paprika! She told me that it’s ridiculously delicious.
Recipe By Janie:
I’ve heard of chicken piccata before, but honestly had no idea what it really was. I guess for some reason it seemed fancy and out of my league in terms of cooking. I was so, so wrong. the men [husband and brother] in my life couldn’t have been happier or more impressed.
Chicken Piccata Recipe

COOK 30 MINS
READY IN 45 MINS
Ingredients:
- 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tsp chicken bouillon powder
- 1/2 cup boiling water
Directions:
In a small bowl, beat the egg together with 1 tablespoon of the lemon juice. Set aside.
In a shallow bowl or dish mix together the flour, garlic powder and paprika. Dip the chicken in the egg/lemon mixture, then in the seasoned flour.
In a large skillet, melt butter/margarine and brown the coated chicken pieces.
Dissolve the bouillon in the boiling water, then add the remaining 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Pour liquid into skillet.
Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes, turning chicken pieces after 10 minutes, until chicken is tender.
Garnish as desired and serve.
**next time I will probably make a lighter sauce and garnish with fresh lemon. ..either way, it’s mad good.
