Show Someone How Grateful You Are For Them #KleenexCares

November 6, 2012 by Momstart 16 Comments

This time of year arrives with chilly weather, runny noses, and the first signs of winter colds. It’s important that we remember to be
thankful for our health, and help others who may not be as fortunate. During cold and flu season, sharing a Kleenex tissue is the ultimate way to give a bit of comfort; a small gesture that can make a big difference.

One way to show your gratefulness in a small way to someone is to give them a care package like the Softness Worth Sharing initiative. To do that all you have to do is visit your local retailer, purchase a Kleenex brand bundle pack and redeem the code on the box. Then simply visit Kleenex.com and follow the directions to send a Care Pack to someone who needs a little care, while supplies last.

Just remember that  being grateful doesn’t mean going out of our way to display how we feel. The smallest of gifts make all the difference and just spending time with someone can be that small thing. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, what thoughtful ideas do you
have to show others that you are thankful to have them in your life?

I’m grateful for so many people in my life and wish them all great happiness. I’m going to be praying for them and doing little acts of kindness. Baking goods for people, giving out gifts from my blog. Sharing is caring and I want to share all that God has blessed our family with and believe me he’s blessed us a lot, so we have a lot to give.

How do you teach your kids importance of being grateful and helping others in need with gestures of caring?

When kids receive gifts they don’t always show gratefulness and I’m trying so hard to teach my children that. It’s important for them to learn to say thank you even if they hate the gift. It’s important to say no thank you when someone is trying to give you something you know you’re not supposed to have. There are so many things to teach the kids when it comes to good manners and how to be grateful. I feel like at ages 4 and 5 I’m just tapping the surface.

WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST FOR ME?

Make Sharing Fun Creative trick-or-treating Surprises Thoughtful Gestures #KleenexCares

October 17, 2012 by Momstart 13 Comments

imageKleenex is Softness Worth Sharing. Last night we went to Costco to resupply our Kleenex addiction. We love Kleenex because they really are the softest and when your nose is runny and irritated you want that softness. Now you can share that softness with others. Softness Worth Sharing initiative.. To participate, all you have to do is visit your local retailer, purchase a Kleenex brand bundle pack and redeem the code on the box. Then simply visit Kleenex.com and follow the directions to send a Care Pack to someone who needs a little care, while supplies last.

Thinking of sharing Halloween surprises and thoughtful gestures goes along with my current giving theme. How to make others feel appreciated and loved. I’m doing little projects where I make gift baskets and we drop them off at people’s houses to tell them they’ve been pampered. I made some bat treats and I’m going to deliver them tomorrow to my friends house. I’m also in the mood to make some chocolate chip cookies and I’m going to share those with my neighborhood. Plus it gets the kids involved in sharing and they get to spend quality time with mom. Sharing is caring, and just giving someone a piece of your time is another great way to share and make people feel loved. SO go love someone with your special Halloween treat.
