Build Your Perfect Easter Gift With Build-A-Bear!

April 3, 2015 by Beeb Leave a Comment

Hoppy Easter Marshmallow Bunny

Build-A-Bear provided me with product for my review. However, all opinions stated are my own.
Easter is just a few days away, and I can’t be the only one doing last-minute preparations. (Any suggestions on what dish I should bring to Easter dinner?) As you help the Easter bunny prepare the children’s baskets, you can easily find a special gift that will get your kids hopping for joy by visiting Build-A-Bear!

The MomStart household recently received a special Easter shipment from Build-A-Bear containing an adorable Hoppy Easter Marshmallow Bunny. Zoe was so incredibly excited about her bunny that was going to arrive in the mail. Every day when Louise got a package, Zoe would ask, “Is that my bunny? Is my bunny here yet?” When the bunny did arrive, I watched Zoe tear open the box excitedly, exclaiming, “This is the most amazing toy ever!”

She told me all about Marshmallow Bunny and its highly fashionable outfit and accessories, including the “Highest heels ever” and a little Easter basket. She had a fashion show where she dressed up the bunny and one of her bears, and asked everybody in the room to vote for the best-dressed stuffed animal. Marshmallow Bunny won by a landslide! Suffice to say, it’s been a huge hit and Zoe hasn’t stopped talking about it since she got it. I think this toy is a surefire winner to delight your child!

To check out the full line of awesome Easter products from Build-A-Bear, click here! In addition to Marshmallow Bunny, you can find other great Easter pals like the Chocolate Bunny and the Bright Blooms Bunny. These furry friends are fully customizable and available in stores and online through April 5th, so hop on over today and get one!

Build A Bear Workshop: Holly And Hal: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure

December 3, 2011 by Momstart 3 Comments

By Emily:

Although the stores seem to think the holiday season begins the day after Halloween, you can be certain that this special time of year is upon us when the holiday programs begin airing on television. There are so many programs that I look forward to seeing year after year that I have begun to buy many of them on DVD. Having this collection of holiday DVDs allows our family the convenience of watching our favorite shows commercial-free whenever we’d like. The newest addition to our collection is Build-A-Bear’s first Christmas movie “Holly and Hal: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure.” Staring two of Build-A-Bear’s favorite furry characters, Holly and Hal Moose, this is a great story about loyalty and never giving up on your dreams.

HHDVDCover2011In this charming movie Holly the level-headed inventor and Hal the dreamer, both filled with imagination and heart, are destined for adventure. This sibling duo finds their way to the North Pole and closer to each other’s heart in this uplifting holiday tale, which will inspire you to follow your dreams…no matter how high they may seem. Will they be able to work together to save Christmas in time for Santa to make his famous flight? Find out as you experience the holiday antics of this pair of antlered siblings with powerful imaginations, a love of adventure and a wintery world of new friends.

You can check out the trailer here:

“Holly and Hal: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure” includes the voices of Meaghan Martin, from 10 Things I Hate About You, and Jonathan Morgan Heit as Easton and Weston, panicked elves working in the weather center as the storm of the century nears. Though this is not a musical cartoon, there are entertaining songs that make this movie extra special.

Available at Build A Bear and your favorite retailers this holiday season, this family-friendly DVD also includes a $5 off $25 coupon for a future purchase at your local Build-A-Bear workshops. If you have a Build-A-Bear fan in your home, “Holly and Hal: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure” this would be a great gift to enjoy year after year!

About Emily:

Emily is also very active in the local MOMS CLUB. She raises chickens and has 2 shih tzus. Her daughter Caitlyn attends Montessori school and she hates housecleaning, loves wine and enjoys dining out. She would love to find a cure for the depression and anxiety she has dealt with on and off over the past 10 years, just like me. She is an amazing mom and friend.

Seattle #TweetDrive 2010 Almost Wordless Wednesday

December 14, 2010 by Momstart 17 Comments

I LOVE using my influence on-line to make a difference in my community. Last week we had a tweet up in Seattle and I helped gather swag, donations and door prizes. The event was the Seattle Tweet Drive. I posted in detail about the Seattle Tweetdrive a few weeks ago when I started looking for sponsors and I’m so happy with all the companies that supported us. See the full list below! We had a great turnout and Look at what we did for the charity Treehouse! I’m exhausted and extremely behind on my blog posts, but I feel great because it was all for a really great cause. Club Sur donated the space, My Seattle Night Out organized the event, and local bands and entertainers donated their time and efforts for all of us to have a great time! We gathered around 333 toys total! Tweet Drive is going on nationally in many different locations, check Tweet Drive 2010 to find a location next to you.

Borders Teamed up With Build A Bear for a Holly & Hal Moos Charity Drive

November 9, 2010 by Momstart 41 Comments

HH DVD Cover 2010Charity is my passion. I’ve been thinking about this a lot this year, and with the Holiday Season it weighs even heavier on my heart. So I’m happy to support companies that are making donations to charity. Borders is teaming with Build-A-Bear Workshop® for a holiday charity drive to benefit children in need. Now through Dec. 24, customers shopping at Borders stores nationwide will have the opportunity to donate books and stuffed animals, including Hal Moose®, a Build-A-Bear Workshop furry friend with soft brown fur and antlers. Hal Moose is the star of "Holly & Hal Moose™: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure," a book and DVD available at Borders. Each Borders store will deliver the books and stuffed toys to a local charity.  In addition, Borders will kickoff the holiday charity drive by promising to donate $50,000 to First Book, which provides new books to children in need, addressing one of the most important factors affecting literacy — access to books.

The book retails at $15.99 and the DVD at $14.99. They’re from the Build-A-Bear collection (BAB is a Borders partner).

Build A Bear Craftshop Fashion Decorating Kit Party

September 11, 2010 by Momstart 5 Comments

A Few weeks ago we held a play date sponsored by Build a Bear. Build a Bear sent us supplies for all of the kids to decorate their own t-shirts. Everything was included, even the shirt. The shirt is the perfect size for any of the dolls you create inside the Build a Bear stores.

craftshop Build-A-Bear Workshop® is excited to share their new partnership with Michaels Stores. Their brand new line of crafts called Build-A-Bear Craftshop™ will be introduced in all Michaels Stores in September, so they should be hitting shelves now. The new and unique Build-A-Bear Craftshop line includes 24 fun make-your-own projects such as a jewelry kit, hair accessory kit, painting projects and Make and Share kits containing a wearable craft creation for you and your furry friend. Build A Bear sent us the Fashion Decorating Kit for the play date. We invited our friends over and had a great time decorating shirts.

imageThe Build A Bear Craftshop Fashion Kit included markers, stencils, and a ton of iron on transfers. I didn’t get the iron out because I don’t have one, but I was told by the moms and dads that the girls just had to have the iron ons added as soon as they got home form the play date. There were so many iron ons to choose from that the girls could add them to their own clothing. So there are enough supplies to make a shirt for your bear and a shirt for yourself.

I was very impressed with what they put together. I feel like they thought of everything when it came to little girls and decorating a t-shirt.

Build-A-Bear For Easter and Get an Easter Basket #giveaway

March 16, 2010 by Momstart 769 Comments

buildabear Build-A-Bear Workshop is giving away an Easter Basket and a package of candy with every 20.00 you spend. So basically Build-A-Bear and get an Easter Basket too. (promotion is now until April 4th) We did it this past weekend.

Build-A-Bear sent me two 25.00 Gift Cards and a 5.00 off coupon to use towards making bears for each of my children. Now Miles’s birthday is on Friday so we went a little overboard and spent more than what they provided, but I want to assure you that 25.00 is enough to build a bear and have a great experience.

· This year we are introducing two limited time only Furry Friends are Blossom Bunny and Cheerful Cheeks Chick.buildabear12

Here is our experience:

The Happy Birthday Boy wanted to get the duck and the frog, but we helped him pick just the duck!

buildabear13

After Making a Selection, we picked out a sound for Miles and a heart for Zoe.

buildabear11

Then we stuffed them, and the cool part was they got to do it!

We gave them luck, and love:

Then we paid. The whole experience took us about an hour but it was priceless and so much fun. I’m glad we went. My husband said last time we were at the mall he almost took Miles in there to get a birthday bear.
