Clevamama Baby Products Designed By Moms for Moms

February 9, 2013 by Momstart Leave a Comment

The products that Clevamama sent me to review are all the type of products that I used. We loved having a Splash and Wrap Hooded Towel, needed to clean pacifiers so I wish I would have had a Pacifier Tree and I used a product similar to the ClevaFeed a few times. Seems like only yesterday my kids were still babies and chewing on everything. WP_20130208_003

The Clevafeed is great for teething. You can put frozen fruit in it and they can suck on it and eat the fruit as it defrosts. Plus it will sooth their teeth. I also used to put other kids of food in it for Zoe. It wasn’t the Clevafeed but it was a product just like it.

The multi-award winning, mom-owned Irish company called Clevamama recently entered the American market with a bang. After less than six months on Amazon.com, their apron-style Splash & Wrap Hooded Towel is ranked number one out of 1,250 other related hooded towels, and their Pacifier Tree is ranked as the number one pacifier sterilizer. The towel and pacifier tree have both won the Kind & Jugend Innovation award.

Splash and Wrap Hooded Towel

The multi award winning Splash and Wrap Towel is designed to fasten around your neck like an apron to give you two free hands to lift your baby safely out of the bath. This extra-large towel is made from 100% cotton and is perfect for drying in between little fingers and toes. Price is $19.99. WP_20130208_005

YouTube demo of the towel can be viewed here.

The hooded towel was the first product sisters Suzanne Brown and Martina Delaney designed when they became first-time moms and realized baby products on the market needed to be better. In 2003, the two teamed up with the goal of developing practical products that make parents lives just that little bit easier. Today, their company Clevamama covers four product categories (Bath time, Feeding, Safety and Bed time) that are available to moms in over thirty countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and now North America.

  WP_20130208_006

Pacifier Tree

The Pacifier Tree is a compact, fast and simple way to sterilize and store Pacifiers. Using the speed and convenience of your microwave, it is now possible to sterilize up to 6 pacifiers in just 60 seconds. It’s also a convenient home which means less lost Pacifiers! Includes 2 FREE silicone orthodontic Pacifiers. Recent studies have demonstrated that an infant using a Pacifier during sleep time is at a lower risk of SIDS. Price is $11.99.

YouTube demo is available here.

About Clevamama:

Clevamama achieves its company mission through two avenues; the first is their commitment to product development based on research. They regularly collaborate with premier educational institutions such as Trinity College Dublin to ensure their products are an advancement of those currently on the market, and that the products make caring for infants easier, healthier and safer. Clevamama also fulfills its mission through its culture and community. Suzanne and Martina’s warmth, charm, sense of humor & sense of camaraderie with other mothers shines through the company culture, and their customers can feel it. Because of this, Clevamama has built a community moms love connecting with through the company’s Facebook and Twitter pages (the brand new American Facebook page is here).

We received samples that we are going to give away.

Tiny Tillia Baby Products By Avon

January 16, 2013 by Momstart 2 Comments

Avon has such a collection of products these days and the Tiny Tillia collection is really adorable. Tiny Tillia by Avon is a world of charming baby products designed to turn everyday routines into special moments for mother and child. The softest cotton babywear and Toddlerwear. The smartest developmental toys. The most inspired nursery decor. The highest quality bath and body products. An entire Mommy Tillia line to pamper mom. There’s even a cast of lovable characters like Dilly Pig and Duncan Dog who are bound to become baby’s new BFFs. We received an assortment of products from them and I’d love to show them off.

IMG_3004

These bath mitts are so cute. Never a dull moment! Bring Tiny Tillia to life with these soft terry bath mitts – gentle on baby’s skin and great fun for the imagination. (Baby talk not included.) Machine washable.

We also received a diaper bag that I just love. It’s been a long time since I’ve used an actual diaper bag but I know a pregnant mom that might get a lot of use out of it. IMG_3002

Ideally sized for everyday wear, this trendy 13" L x 13" H x 6" D messenger style boasts plenty of pockets, a cushioned changing pad and a cute zippered pouch. Made of man-made materials.
Includes:
– Removable 22" x 15" Changing Pad
– Removable 7" x 5.5" Zippered Pouch
– Adjustable Strap
– 8 Roomy Pockets.

IMG_3003

It looks like they sold out of the last item we received for review but they have a few items left that are very similar.

Like the

Tiny Tillia Plush Purse:

Super-cute 5 1/2" H x 5 1/2" W x 3" D plush purse with soft, crinkly:
• compact mirror
• cell phone
• change purse
4-piece set. Polyester.

And the

Plush 3 1/2" H x 6 1/2" W x 3 1/2" D toolbox includes plush and crinkly, 4 1/2" L:
• screwdriver
• wrench
• hammer
4-piece set. Polyester.

Necessity is the mother of all invention – and Tiny Tillia is no different. Tiffany Lerman founded the company in 2006, when her youngest son was just a baby. After searching high and low for a bath and body line that was not only safe and effective but a pleasure to use, she decided to use her imagination and create something entirely unique.

We received samples that we are going to give to someone in need.

Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3 Wheel Travel System Functional, Fashionable, Fabulous

My First Baby Gear Review! The Functional, Fashionable, Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3 Wheel Travel System

By: Ashley

We kept this pregnancy pretty quiet for awhile, which might be why sometime it still doesn’t seem too real. When a big box from Eddie Bauer Baby arrived on my doorstep though, WHEW! That was one way to make sure I knew it was all really happening… and soon! I remember researching FOREVER to figure out the best travel system for Atticus. I ended up getting a set that had a more traditional 4 wheel stroller… and always wished I would have done the 3-wheel. Getting to test out the Eddie Bauer Trail Hiker 3 Wheel Travel System just made me realize how happy I was that our old stroller didn’t make the cross country move!

clip_image002

First of all, let me say that the stroller and carseat both seem extremely sturdy without being extremely heavy. Lightweight and easy to use should be some of the biggest concerns when looking for a travel system. I love that our new little bundle will be able to use the carseat and stroller in June, but until then, Atticus thinks that this is a fantastic stroller! Good thing since it works for kids up to 50 lbs! clip_image004

I love the fabric Eddie Bauer uses. The colors are bold and gender neutral, which is great. They seem durable without being rough and scratchy. Even though I didn’t actually try to spill something on it (I’m sure that will happen just fine naturally…), it really seems like this will be material that I can keep clean and fresh with little effort.

clip_image006While this is not officially an “all terrain” stroller, I think it can handle most normal stroller spots: the park, the grass, mulch, gravel, and sidewalks. Having the larger wheels really does make a difference. That’s something that I have learned the hard way. It’s also really nice to have the option of a turning front wheel, or a locked wheel (meaning it only goes forwards and backwards).

clip_image010The carseat is your typical infant carrier with base system. The installation is really easy and makes for a very secure fit. I’m not sure the base works in my car (I have a compact SUV, so the seats are apparently a little smaller than others). I’ve seen some Child Passenger Safety information that says at least 80% of the base should be in contact with the carseat for a safe fit. I still need to do some measurements to see if this seat fits in my car. If it doesn’t, I’m going to be so sad! With the LATCH system, easy install, gender neutral colors (big fan of that) and great safety ratings, I was hoping that my carseat shopping was done. Either way, just make sure it fits your car.

By: Ashley

Have you ever visited Innobaby.com? Innobaby has tons of products designed with you, your baby, and the Earth in mind. Their green thinking solutions help make snack time, meal time, and pretty much ANY time just a little bit easier.

When my son was younger, Christmas was the perfect opportunity to stock up on some products that I thought would help make my life a little easier and things he enjoyed. New sippy cups, snack containers, and dishes were some of my favorite picks. Innobaby has a great selection of all those things and they’re all eco friendly.

clip_image002 clip_image004

The multi use drink holder is really one of the coolest things ever. We’ve all experienced that juice box overflow that happens when little hands squeeze a little too tightly. The holder is great! It can hold juice boxes, pouches, water bottles, and more. A very handy addition to any mom purse or diaper bag.

Tiny Love Tiny Princess Gymini Move ‘n Play

October 6, 2012 by Momstart 13 Comments

As a mom who had a baby at the very beginning of January I would have loved to have received anything for my baby that Christmas before. It’s such an exciting thing to bring a life in the world and having a Gymini is on my must have baby list. We had one for our kids and it lasted through both kids and donated onto a new family. They are easy to wash and help them developmentally in so many ways. Tiny Princess Gymini Move 'n Play

The Tiny Love Tiny Princess Gymini Move ‘n Play is a follow-up to last year’s Gymini Move ‘n Play activity mat, which was the first of its kind to adapt to a baby’s growth, allowing for play throughout the first twelve months. The Tiny Princess Gymini Move ‘n Play has the same great features, but with a sweet pink design theme.
Innovative sliding arches create a variety of play positions. For newborns, the Tiny Princess Gymini Move ‘n Play activity mat has the brand’s classic features, including hanging toys, teethers and mirror, and a brightly colored, extra-large activity mat with many surprises for baby. The “crossroads” of the arches feature an electronic music and lights toy that plays seven melodies. The arches can be repositioned from the traditional “dome” set-up to accommodate tummy time or a crawling infant, and allow parents better access when playing with their child. The hanging toys slide along the arches and can also be removed. The approximate retail price is $74.99.

Tiny Love’s Tiny Princess collection of baby gear, mobiles and toys feature a fashionable color palette with raspberry pink, chocolate brown and apple green tones that would make any baby girl feel special. All products in the Tiny Princess collection coordinate for a beautiful cohesive look.

Tiny Tillia by Avon: Not Just Cosmetics Anymore

August 15, 2012 by Momstart 12 Comments

Originally sparked by a mother’s love for her children, Tiny Tillia by Avon is a world of charming baby products designed to turn everyday routines into special moments for mother and child. The softest cotton babywear and toddler wear. The smartest developmental toys. The most inspired nursery decor. The highest quality bath and body products. An entire Mommy Tillia line to pamper mom.

I was sent two Tiny Tillia products to try and review.  The Summer Romper retailing for $22.00 and the Insulated To-Go Bag retailing for $18.00.

image002Summer Romper

Keeping cool during the hot summer days is a breeze with this adorable romper, which makes dressing for the sizzling temps so very simple. The eye-catching blue color is complemented with a pretty floral edge along the top and the straps.

IMG_0733I SO wanted to love this romper.  The colors are great, fabric light & breathable and overall style is fantastic.  Alas, it just didn’t work on baby M.  I requested an 18 month size as she is a very "healthy" 10 month-old, and it was barely big enough. I had to wrestle her into it because there were no crotch snaps, so it had to be pulled up over her feet and then her arms maneuvered into the strap openings.  Once I got it on I thought it was pretty cute until I thought about how much (more) difficult the subsequent diaper changes would be for the rest of the day. Once she started moving around the front dipped down to show a little bit too much baby skin for my taste.  The style is great, but fit and function didn’t work for M.  Perhaps it would fit better on an older, taller child or one who is a bit more cooperative when it comes to dressing & undressing.

image003Insulated To-Go Bag

Have your essentials with you whenever you’re on-the-go! This cute, colorful zip-up bag is roomy enough to hold up to three bottles and it’s fully insulated, so anything you fill it with remains at a constant, cool temperature. It measures 9" H x 7.5" W x 4" D and has an adjustable strap.

IMG_0724Amazingly this to-go bag arrived in the mail the very same day I had been telling one of my co-workers that I need to invest in an insulated, zipping lunch bag. Ahh! Perfect.  The Tiny Tillia Insulated To-Go bag is perfect for either kid’s or mom’s food.  I love the fabric colors- fun but not too juvenile.  I also appreciate that it zips at the top, as fitting one’s lunch in the shared refrigerator at my work is like a game of tetris, and bags are often tipped over or squished somewhere in the corner.  Another great feature is that the strap is adjustable, so I can shorten the length to put it in my larger work tote bag, or lengthen to carry on it’s own.  I am actually (sort-of) looking forward to packing my lunch for work tonight.

Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper: A MUST have for newborns

June 9, 2012 by Momstart 20 Comments

Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper: A MUST have for newborns

When you’re preparing for the birth of a new baby the long list of "necessary" baby items is overwhelming and confusing, not to mention expensive.  I’ve been asked by a few friends who are expecting their first babies, "what do I really need?"  One even asked me to go with her to register, and gave me the password to her registries to add or delete items as I saw appropriate because she was so overwhelmed.  There are few items on my own "must have" list, which now includes the Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper.

IMG_0249

I was sent a Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper to review and lamented the fact that I didn’t receive it 7 months earlier.  Baby M had a fussy, rough beginning filled with crying, excessive spitting-up and horribly itchy, uncomfortable eczema.  Turns out she had RSV (a respiratory infection), acid reflux, and a dairy intolerance.  Once she was healthy, on medication and a hypoallergenic formula her truly joyful, engaging and amazing personality came though.

While M was in the throws of her discomfort we tried everything to help her get comfortable and get all of us some sleep. The swing, elevating her mattress, walking, baby-wearing, white noise, the vibrating seat and rides in the car- which she hated and screamed the entire time from when the buckle clicked until you got her out.  IMG_0245

She needed to be elevated, but also in a safe sleep environment and the Tiny Love 3-in-1 Rocker Napper is just that, which is why I wish I had it then.  It is a comfortable feeding or play seat with a musical mobile and vibrating base.  And, when baby doses off, a simple one-hand release gently lowers the seat back to a fully flat recline.  The sides raise to create a cozy and secure sleeping environment.

Because the 3-in-1 Rocker Napper would have made our lives SO much easier, it is on my "must have" list.  Which is lucky for my friend, since I gave her the seat I was sent to use with her baby due later this month.  I did, however mention that I want it back when she’s done. Just in case we have another baby.

I also really appreciate the contemporary styling and neutral color palate, and it actually looked nice, not garish in my living room.  Baby M did try out the seat, and she was fascinated by the mobile and I thought for a moment I could use it. But then she tried to climb out, and I accepted the fact that she is simply too big for it to be safe.  IMG_0251

Dubbed one of the best new baby products of the year by Babble, BabyCenter and other parenting blogs, the 3-in-1 Rocker Napper has just become available to consumers and makes the perfect baby shower gift.  One of the most frequent comments by people when they see this product is "Why didn’t they have this when my kids were babies?"  Please visit Tiny Love’s website for a more product features or a video demonstration.

Check Out The Albertsons’ Baby & Toddler Aisle

April 28, 2012 by Momstart 487 Comments

Sitting here trying to work just reminds me that I need to go to the grocery store. I’m out of a lot of things and Albertsons is the closest grocery store to my house. We love running in there whenever we need something for dinner and I need vegetables tonight. When the kids were little I would usually get their baby food at Albertsons too. Why? Yes one reason was because it was convenient to get it there. I was already going my grocery shopping and their food was on the list too but also because when they had good deals they had good deals and they often have good deals. April is pretty much over but it was baby month and last month they were full of deals. But have no fear, it’s Albertsons and the sales never end there.

IMG_1292

You just have to keep your eyes peeled!!!

To celebrate being a mother and the quality products that Albertsons sells for mothers and their babies they sent me some products. I’d forgotten how many different brands they carried for baby food and skincare products. They sell everything you need to take care of a baby. IMG_1293

They sent me Beech Nut items that  have Winnie the Pooh characters on them. And surprisingly almost all of the food they sent was organic or all natural. Albertsons even sent a kit to make your own baby food and things to clean up with too. I love Johnson’s baby wash. Not only can you clean up your baby with these products they also have special tools to clean your bottles, oh and get your bottles and pacifiers there too. Just look at all these products:

I also received the above gift basket that I’m donating from Albertsons and they are providing the prize as well.

Safety 1st Sound Moments Audio Monitor

March 6, 2012 by Momstart 214 Comments

Christine was sent two products from Safety 1st. The first one was the Safety 1st ProGrade VersaScan TALKING Thermometer that she reviewed earlier. And the second product was the Safety 1st Sound Moments Audio Monitor that she has decided to donate to Special Delivery. I’m super excited she’s decided to donate it.

IMG_1149

Safety 1st Sound Moments Audio Monitor Product Description:

Each Parent Unit has a convenient belt clip and carry loop, making it easy to keep it close by as you go through your day.  With two receivers, you can easily share, or keep one in the bedroom and use the other one around the house. The Baby Unit features a clock and also a tap on/off nightlight with a soft glow that won’t disturb your sleeping baby when you check on them.
Baby Unit

  • Digital clock
  • Tap-on/off nightlight
  • Pager button
    Parent Unit
  • Quick mute button
  • Sound lights
  • 4 channels to minimize interference
  • Power & low battery indicators
  • Audio jack for listening with earphones
  • Belt clip & carry loop
  • Volume control
  • 49 MHz frequency
  • 600+ foot range

Christine’s Review:

I was also sent the New Safety 1st Sounds Moments Audio Monitor to try out and review. When children are not feeling well a monitor is needed more than ever. One of my favorite features of this monitor is that it comes with two Parent Units.  Living in a two-story house I often find myself going back up, or down the stairs to retrieve the monitor while my daughter is sleeping and I’m doing chores.  Keeping a unit on each floor would save that back & forth and ensure that I am always able to monitor our baby.  I also appreciate that all of the units take AA batteries and not a special battery that can only be purchased from the manufacturer.

IMG_1159

Additionally this NEW monitor features four channels to minimize interference and a 600+ foot range. The Parent Unit has a quick mute button, volume-sensitive sound lights.  The Baby Unit has a digital clock, soft-glow tap-on/off nightlight and a pager if the Parent Unit is misplaced. Safety 1st definitely had the needs of parents in mind when developing this monitor.  It retails for $39.99.

This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to the winner, Becky M.

Live Clean Baby Collection Exclusively at Walgreens

October 29, 2011 by Momstart 4 Comments

I never really considered Walgreens to be the place to go for an eco conscience product, but low and behold they have exclusivity with Live Clean Baby.

Live Clean is a Canadian brand with eco-friendly personal care products with quite a positive reputation there and now is making it’s way to the US with the launch of Live Clean Baby. This simple, environmentally aware collection of products is specially formulated with both mother’s concerns and baby’s sensitivities in mind.

With most eco friendly products the price tag is a little bit higher than you would normally consider for a Tearless Shampoo and Wash that gently cleanses baby’s hair and scalp without drying; a Moisturizing Baby Bath that gently cleanses and moisturizes baby’s delicate skin, a Moisturizing Baby Lotion that leaves baby’s skin soft and smooth with a non-greasy feel; a Non-Petroleum Jelly and a Diaper Ointment that soothes baby’s tender skin and forms a protective barrier against wetness; and a Moisturizing Bar Soap that is enriched with Shea butter to gently moisturize baby’s skin. The price is $7.99

If you’re looking for vegan products then Live Clean Baby is for you. Using only natural, non-irritating, supremely gentle plant based ingredients, Live Clean Baby performs efficiently and gently to keep baby looking, feeling – and smelling – their very best. “The criteria we’ve developed for the Live Clean brand begins with an ecologically responsible point of view,” says Executive Vice President, Michelle Sparrock, referring to the common, eco-damaging ingredients you won’t find in Live Clean. “As resilient as babies are, we know that their developing systems are also extremely sensitive. We wanted to create baby products with nothing extraneous, nothing unnecessary. Everything from the natural surfactants to the fragrance is both minimal and mild.” They use no animal ingredients in the formulations. The collection is also cruelty-free meaning none of the products or their ingredients have been tested on animals. In its sensitivity to the environment, Live Clean is also free of phosphates, known contributors to water pollution. Plus their packaging has been carefully created to be as earth-friendly as possible. The Live Clean containers are recyclable; they are made from “virgin” materials, making them far easier to recycle than many plastics. Shipping cartons are made from recycled materials and even the inks used on shipping cartons are safe for the environment. Local vendors are used to the maximum which cuts down on gas consumption and emissions thus reducing their overall carbon footprint.

It is available exclusively at Walgreens, the nation’s largest drugstore chain with more than 8,000 stores across the country as well as online at Walgreens.com.

We received Samples for this post.
