I’m not a big fan of football, shocking I know. I grew up in Texas where it’s football central and we watched the game every Sunday. How did I end up the way I did? I was bored out of my mind as a child, both parents would watch it and as funny as that sounds what it actually means is that if I was visiting my mom or staying with my dad the big game was on.
We had big Super Bowl parties and I could care less, the only thing I have ever enjoyed was the food and the Super Bowl commercials. Most of the commercials had some sort of appeal, and as I get older my appreciation has changed. In fact the commercials, that’s where the big guns really are for me, advertisers spends billions on seconds of air space and I’m interested to see who is going to flop and who is going to reign supreme.
Speaking of supreme, Taco Bell is starting to send out teasers for their Super Bowl XLVII Commercial. Taco Bell® announced today, Jan 18th, a 60-second online teaser video in anticipation of its 60-second brand Super Bowl commercial. The LIVE MÁS® brand commercial is titled “Viva Young” and is scheduled to debut during the third quarter of the game broadcasted Feb. 3, 2013 on the CBS Television Network.
The teaser shows Goldblatt sneaking his suped-up motorized scooter into a football stadium to let loose, do some tricks like making “donuts” on the field, knocking over water coolers, yardage signs and a tackling dummy, all while escaping from security. The teaser gives consumers a deeper look into the LIVE MÁS personality of the Taco Bell’s Super Bowl spot’s main character. In the LIVE MAS commercial you should expect to feel like the commercial is speaking to you as it’s geared toward all ages.
“Our hope is that our consumers will see themselves in this ad. They tell us that Taco Bell is about memories and experiences, and things they like to share with their friends,” said Brian Niccol, Chief Marketing & Innovation Officer, Taco Bell Corp. “We believe that advertising on the world biggest stage, the Super Bowl, was the ideal way to share these experiences with our fans, while also providing further context into the mindset of Taco Bell and what it means to LIVE MÁS.”
For one, we should all be living life to the fullest and two, we should enjoy Taco Bell. I sure do. I love so many different things on the menu I always have a hard time picking something out to eat. I remember going to Taco Bell in college after studying at night and then getting the munchies. We would go around and see who was still awake and then make a run.
I hope you’ll be watching with me when the commercial airs during the Super Bowl in February.
