Christmas changes as you get older, but part of the new fun you discover is creating your own traditions and having the freedom to shape the holidays to be the way you envision them. Jai and I are getting ready to celebrate our first Christmas as a married couple, and we’re excited to start some new traditions this year and carry on those that we already enjoy. One thing that has become something of a tradition for us is hiding stockings under the tree for each other before we go to bed on Christmas Eve. When I was a kid, everyone in the family got a stocking filled by Santa, including mom and dad, but I hadn’t done stockings in years as an adult. A few Christmases ago, Jai’s Grandma gave us a stocking that she dug out of storage that had his name embroidered on it from when he was a little boy. I thought it was adorable, and since I had a few small gifts for Jai that year, I got the idea to play Santa and hide them in his childhood stocking. It was so much fun that a new tradition was born, and now I always keep an eye peeled for little gifts that would make good stocking stuffers!
Last year, I was getting some last minute groceries before the holidays and saw the perfect stocking stuffer in the toothpaste aisle: Steripod! You may remember Steripod from my post last year, but in case you need a refresher, Steripod are the clip on toothbrush protector that keep your toothbrush clean and fresh. Jai and I have both become big fans – I changed our Steripods out 3 months after I wrote that post, and Jai commented to me: “Oh, good, you have more of those!” By the time Christmas 2016 rolled around, it was about time to change out our Steripod again, and when I spotted them hanging by the toothpaste at my local grocery store, I grabbed them as a perfect last-minute stocking stuffer for Jai! (He was glad to get them on Christmas morning, so I made sure to give him some more on his birthday in March, just in time for the next 3 month rotation!)
I’ve become something of a Steripod evangelist – in fact, I got into a long conversation with a driver who was taking me to the airport for a press trip last year, and believe it or not, I ended up telling her all about Steripod when she talked about how gross it is to think about your toothbrush being exposed to the elements in your bathroom. She added it to her shopping list while we talked! It seems like such a small thing, but it’s one of those little life hacks that makes your routine that much better. I know I’m not the only one who gets skeeved out by a bare toothbrush – just watch this funny clip that Steripod put together about the grossness of unprotected toothbrushes:
Steripod is not just for grown-ups: New Steripod Kids toothbrush protectors are the perfect size to keep your little ones’ toothbrushes just as protected as mom and dad’s. And with 8 fun new colors just introduced including Rose Gold & Champagne Pearl, Crystal Clear Purple & Crystal Clear Silver, Teal & Silver and Black Pearl & Ultra Violet, your kiddos can get excited to pick a new color when it’s time to replace their Steripod! Steripod Kids pods are also a great size for my toothbrush, since I may or may not just have bought a child’s size Hello Kitty toothbrush for myself…#adulting
And to help keep the rest of your routine hygienic, Steripod just unveiled their brand new Steripod Tongue Cleaners, to help remove oral bacteria and give you a fresher smile and breath!
But it’s not just your dental routine that could use some protection: If you’re anything like me, then you probably get squicked out by what your razor may be touching in the shower when it’s not in use. I stockpiled a bunch of disposable razors back in my coupon queen heyday, and it’s a good thing, because I notice that the padding around the blades gets gross and gloopy really quickly, causing me to throw them away frequently. Well, Steripod has my back yet again with the debut of new Steripod Razor Protector, a clip-on sheild for your razor blade.
Steripod Razor offers zinc anti-rust protection, keeps your razor protected from shower gunk, and also reducing the amount of nicks and cuts you get on your hand by accident. Does that happen to you too? Because I cringed just thinking about getting those obnoxious little cuts on the top of my fingers!
Thanks to Steripod’s awesome new lineup of products, I have no shortage of stocking stuffers for Jai this year. They even sell special Holiday Stocking Stuffer sets to make it easy to play Santa! And because the holiday season is all about sharing, Steripod and I would like to give one lucky reader a Happy Pod-idays Pod Prize Pack:
