I know that Ashley is required to disclose that she received a free sample to review, which makes me feel the need to mention that I purchased two Stokke Tripp Trapps for my children. The first one was actually a Kinderseat, the older version of the Tripp Trapp. WE LOVE them. They are totally worth the cost. The rest is by Ashley……

I received samples for this review. All opinions are my own.
Have you ever seen a Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair? I remember visiting Louise when we were still living in Washington and being amazed at the chair her son was sitting in. He was 3 at the time and was sitting in a gorgeous wooden chair with a sleek modern design, a safety harness, and great footrest. I didn’t know it at the time, but it was a Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. Check out my Tripp Trapp video review.
The Stokke Tripp Trapp chair is a great investment piece of furniture for any family. Why do I call it an investment piece? The most impressive thing about the Tripp Trapp to me, is the fact that it is designed to work for young babies (6 months with the baby add on accessory) just joining the family at the table, all the way through toddlerhood, childhood, and even into adulthood. The adjustable pieces and solid construction make this a chair that can even work for grown ups! The maximum weight limit is actually 300 pounds! In fact, that time I was over at Louise’s house, I actually sat in her son’s chair for a little while before realizing it was a kid’s chair!
If you want to choose a high chair for your family that is green and eco-friendly, the Tripp Trapp will not disappoint. Not only does it come flat packed, but it is made out of 100% naturally cultivated beechwood. This isn’t just an ecofriendly choice, but a super durable one as well!
Next to literally lasting a lifetime, I absolutely love how easy the Stokke Tripp Trapp is to clean. Most traditional plastic highchairs have tons of nooks, crannies, and covers that hold and hide yucky food crumbs and goo. The open design of the Tripp Trapp makes cleaning so incredibly easy. In fact, most food that your child drops will either end up on them, or on the floor!
In all honesty, I can’t say much bad about the Tripp Trapp. The only disappointment for me has to do more with my table than the chair. We have a high top table and the Tripp Trapp has a tough time working there. Now that I’ve actually got a Tripp Trapp to use though, we might start using our dining room table a little more since it’s a more traditional height.
In all of their product design, Stokke works to bring your children into the action and closer to you. The Tripp Trapp chair is no exception. This is a chair that brings your child right up to the table to be a part of the entire dining experience. Mealtime is a really important time in my family and I have always worked to bring my son to the table to be a part of the ritual even before it was his main food source. The social interaction and learning to be a part of the family seemed to be great for him. With his little brother on the way, I’m hoping we can do the same with him!
