Sprint / Microsoft sponsoring HTC Snap cell phone #Giveaway

August 10, 2009 by Momstart 446 Comments

Garrigan Lyman GroupIf you have been following my blog for a while, you know that I was chosen as one of the moms to test the new HTC Snap that only works on Sprint’s network. I was extremely excited to receive it and my initial reactions to the phone were AMAZING. I stopped writing about it because I became very busy with trips but for my first two trips I was so happy I had the phone. Airports charge you for wireless and I get bored waiting on planes. I usually sleep. Well, thanks to my HTC Snap I was actually able to get blogging work done while waiting in the airport.

However, it died! I had to take the battery out and put it back in and that’s why I stopped writing about it. I’m working with Microsoft and Sprint to try and figure out what’s wrong with my phone. So while we’re waiting let’s get the giveaway started.

I have an extra phone just waiting to enter someone else’s hands. I will run the giveaway for a week and a half because I need the winner to respond before noon on August 22. I have to get this phone in the mail to you before I head back to Washington. I don’t want to carry it on the suitcase with me. Having it on a suitcase with me once was tempting fate, twice I think it might disappear in the airport if you know what I mean.

So To Enter:

Please first entry is required: visit Snap HTC and tell me something from the specs page, perhaps your favorite feature..

For every comment you leave on a post that has the tag HTC Snap, you get an entry into the giveaway.

For every comment you leave on this post telling me you left a comment on the HTC Snap articles then you get an extra entry.

Extra Entries after the First Entry is complete.

None Bloggers get and extra entry for every e-mail they send out linking to this giveaway cc louise@looksblue.com (be sure to leave a comment for every person you e-mail, for example if you e-mail 10 different people leave 10 different comments)

I just want it for the expanded memory and speed. My Samsung Ace is a great phone, but the Snap beats it in every way, especially in the looks department.

After reading the contest instructions again, I wasn’t quite clear if I needed to include ‘HTC Snap’ in the post or not. So here it is…

What I love about the HTC Snap the most is the faster speed, and more memory than my similar Samsung ACE. Sprint really has a lousy selection of “cool phones”, so the HTC Snap is a no-brainer for me. I’m not a big fan of the battery-draining touchscreen WM phones.

Whats not to like about the HTC Snap? Sleek design, user friendly, WiFi. And the Inner Circle feature is a major selling point for someone who is really trying to manage their time and their inbox better. I personally like the track ball for navigation…a little bit of old school familiarity with the new is a nice touch. Now if they can make the HTC Snap a bit more affordable for the working class it could probably give the iPhone a run for its money during the holiday sales season.

Anyway, my favorite feature is the full keyboard… I know that lots of phones have those these days, but from what I hear, this one is the best and I’ve never had a phone with a full keyboard. I do know that as soon as my contract is up, I’m totally getting a new smartphone upgrade from my silly phonephone. What was I thinking?!?!
