We went camping, and it rained and rained and rained. But the kids were still quite happy. Pitching the tent in the rain, riding our bikes in the rain, and sleeping in the rain, we got quite wet. The only thing that wasn’t dampened was the kids’ moods.
Although we were unable to light a fire we stayed warm in our tent and we promised the kids that we would have s’mores when we got home. Seemed like enough to make the happiest campers in the world if you ask me.
This summer, the Hershey Company is encouraging families to create their own S’mores memories with the Say S’mores campaign. We already shared this photo of Zoe with them.
You are invited to capture and share your favorite S’mores moments on the Hershey’s brand Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/hersheys for a chance to win S’mores-themed prizes. The prizes are awesome, the grand prize especially.
The grand-prize is a Canon Rebel Camera, slate marble outdoor firebowl, $250 SnapFish gift card, roasting skewers set and all of the ingredients needed to make S’mores, including Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars. Families who visit the Hershey’s brand Facebook page on or after June 15 can download the Say S’mores application to participate in monthly photo contests and receive a $1 coupon good toward the purchase of any two Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bar 6-packs.
What’s not to love? You know that around here at MomStart we’re big fans of S’mores. We already have a few different s’mores recipes to share with you.
You have to try the S’more Pound Cake Squares and the S’more On-The-Go Recipe.
This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to the winner, Ashley H.
All rules can be found under giveaway rules. We received free samples.

My little ones are 13 months old and haven’t had their first Smores yet but knowing them, they would love them!
My three “little campers” (7,9,& 11) would love these even though we have never gone camping. The closest we ever got to camping was sitting on our front porch after dark.
We’ve never spent the night camping. I’m waiting for the youngest to get a little older. But, my kids love hanging out at a friend’s mom’s campsite.
We do the camping in the back yard cuz there is lots less to pack that way and the kids think its an adventure!

My two little girls love being outside. We haven’t been able to do a lot because of lots of heat and very strict water restrictions due to lack of rain. I hope the closer we get to fall we can go out and enjoy more of the outdoors. Thanks for the chance to win.

My kids favorite part of camping is sitting around the fire- the boys love collecting the sticks and making it bigger. Smores are always extra fun too, but they often give them a sugar rush that we don’t like:) We try and give them that treat a little earlier in the night.

don’t you just love to camp out in the tent, we do big on it outdoors and in the livingroom, my 7yr old grandson and I do it often and if its in the livingroom, I let the tent door face my fireplace and I put 3 of my timmer scented candles inside it so we feel like we have a firepit glow all night long which makes great for doing shadow puppets, we also make smores in my fireplace with a camp wire basket which tastes great, wonderful review thanks

My boys have never been camping but we are planning on starting to when my oldest starts cubscouts this fall.
Me, my husband, and the kids go camping every weekend. We have our own campsite at a campground and stay there every weekend for seven months out of the year. We take walks, hang with friends, listen to live bands, play games, do crafts, and cook out. Thanks.

Marshmallows on a campfire are the best for Smores, but we have been known to put them in the microwave for a quick snack any time.
We’ve only gone camping a couple of times, by which I mean joined our friends at their campsite for the evening but didn’t stay over. My kiddo enjoyed the outdoors, but we were still working out how to see when it was so dark, (and how not to stick our fingers in the fire)! As she gets older I think she’ll enjoy camping.
my grandsons love to go camping, they like the swimming and campfires the best.

My children are not so little–it’s hard to get us all together anymore but every year at the end of summer we go camping with several families–it’s lots of prep work but I can’t wait. Last year my Mother had an accident the day before the trip so I had to go take care of her and missed it–I sent along all the provisions to make smores but my darlings didn’t get any–the other families (all relatives) ate them all one night while my kids were swimming—-this will not happen again!! I know how much they look forward to smores!
