Today, I have some great products to share for parents of young children that are quite clever. “Using your head” means making a practical decision; but I think we should coin “Using your BooginHead” to mean finding a smart parenting life hack!
BooginHead are a baby brand that recently introduced some new innovations, the first of which is SippiGrip (Retail: $7.50). This product keeps bottles, toys and teethers leashed so that kids can’t throw them. It has a tight grippy side that you wrap around the object to hold firmly in place, tethering the other end to something.
It really does stick! You can feel the gripping power. My 31 year old self tried to shake the leash around to fling the bottle, and the leash stayed on and kept the bottle from falling. This is pretty great!!
PaciGrip (Retail: $5.50) is the same concept, but for pacifiers.
You hook one end to pacifier and the other end to baby’s clothes. This works differently because you use a cord rather than the grippy stuff to hold the paci in place. I didn’t see how to loop it like in the photo, so I just sort of pulled it into a knot. I shook the leash all over the place and the pacifier didn’t come off, so it seems pretty secure.
Squeez’Ems (Retail: $9.50) are a great little item that allow you to make your own homemade squeezey pouches! Just pop the top, fill it with pureed food or drinks, and hey presto! You now have a custom made squeeze snack – very frugal and eco-friendly! Hand washing is recommended to make the pouches last.
In a similar vein, we have Pack’Ems Reusable Snack Bags (Retail: $9.99):
These are like sturdy zip top bags, minus the waste; in addition to being reusable with a Velcro top, they also stand upright! Have you ever packed snacks in advance, and found yourself with a collection of slippery zip top bags sliding all over your counter? I have, so I can TOTALLY see where the ability for these bags to stand on their own is awesome. And, since they expand in this way, you can pack ’em full!
I think BooginHead have a lot of nifty, problem-solving products, and I love that they are also based in the Pacific Northwest! Awesome gift ideas if you’re putting together a “New Mommy” gift basket or stocking stuffers!
