Thanks to Waner Brothers I received a copy of Smallville Season 8. My husband and I watched every season for a long time but then Lana started to get on my husband’s nerves. Actually she always got on his nerves but she finally pushed him over the edge and we stopped watching it. It was shortly after she split up her marriage with Lex.
Putting in Season 8 is a great place to pick up if you have never watched it or if you haven’t seen it for a while. Clark has just started working at the Daily Planet and is discovering what it means to be a hero and who is really on his side oh and what side is he really on. This season was so good that my blog suffered. I just couldn’t get my eyes off of the TV for a few days. We watched one disk a night every night we were not on an airplane. My husband and I have been very busy lately. We could use Superman’s abilities to get our new house unpacked and everything moved in; while having an extra pair of eyes keeping up with our two toddlers.
Lois and Clark are actually becoming more of a team and all the twists and turns that occured in this season were very well played. The Season Finally was perfect too. I can’t wait until Season 9 but I am only a fan of watching TV on DVD. Why, I love no commercials and watching a whole season in one week.
More Information on Smallville:
In Season Eight – starring Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore, Cassidy Freeman, Sam Witwer and Justin Hartley – there’s a new reporter at the Daily Planet: Clark Kent, who shares a workspace with Lois Lane. There’s a new hero in Metropolis, too. No one knows who he is. But Jimmy Olsen was on the scene of one of the do-gooder’s exploits, and he snapped a blurred photo of the hero in superspeed action – a hero everyone now calls the Red-Blue Blur.
Red-jacketed, blue-shirted Clark Kent draws closer to his Superman destiny, and another Kryptonian destiny also takes shape as Davis Bloome begins to realize he is Doomsday. His mission on Earth: kill Clark Kent. So many new events (Will Jimmy and Chloe’s marriage last?), so many new faces (Tess Mercer, Saturn Girl and Cosmic Boy among them!), so many state-of-the-art effects – so don’t miss a single thrill-packed moment!
“Smallville is the longest running live-action ’Superman‘ TV series, a testament to its popularity and loyal fan base,” said Rosemary Markson, WHV Vice President, TV and Special Interest Marketing. “This is one of the most memorable shows on TV and a must-have on DVD. As with prior seasons, Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season is timed for release just in time for the Season Nine premiere of the series on The CW.”
Smallville was developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar, and is based on DC Comics characters. The executive producers for Season Eight are Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer, James Marshall, Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The series is from Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Beginning this fall, Smallville will air Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW Television Network.
