I was driving home today remembering an event that I went to recently. I love to dance and there was a dance floor but no one from our group wanted to go do any of the dances. I was begging someone to go with me and finally one of my friends said ok, even though I’m sick I’ll go dance with you. Well today I realized my daughter is just like me.
No wonder she’s always asking me to go with her. She needs her hand held just like me and realizing that today made me smile and appreciate her for who she is.
I do want her to learn how to be independent but I’m not going to push her as hard as I have been. I’m going to enjoy this time while I can.
Ahh this post really made me smile. So precious and so touching. It really is a joy to have a daughter.
Sounds like you’re a wonderful, caring mother! My daughter is also just like me, my youngest one, that is. 🙂
I’m trying to enjoy every moment with my daughter as well. I’m sad that she’s growing up so quickly.
What a beautiful picture of you and your daughter. It is so special to spend quality time with our children when they are younger. They grow up so fast!!
neither of the kids are like me yet, but they are still very young. maybe as they grow up i will see it more.
They grow up so quickly, its over before we know it. I love this picture of you and Zoe youre both beautiful!
How we discover through life the many ways our children can be exactly like us. My oldest daughter is so much like myself and loves doing the things with my grandchildren that I did with them. I baked often with them, she took it over and now does the same thing. Guess they learn a lot from their mommies. That is such a cute pic of the two of you
