Meat is something that is hard to prepare for two of my pickier family members. It has to be packed with flavor and tender. I’m not entirely sure which kind of steak this is, I think it’s flank steak which is a chewier piece of steak to begin with, but it sure was packed with flavor after I soaked it overnight in Holland House Sherry and spices!
So for this recipe, I took the steak and used my scissors to cut it into bite size pieces. Then I created my brine.
Sherry Brine Recipe:
1 cup Holland House Sherry
2 teaspoons Chipotle Peppercorns crushed
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon Minced garlic
1/4 cup water
Place the bite size flank steak into the brine mixture and leave alone for at least four hours
Then brown the steak on all sides in a skillet but be careful to not over cook. This stuff cooks quite fast. And that’s it!
