Backyard Safari Outfitters has some of the best outdoor toys for kids. I’ve been watching them for a while now, well let’s say for about 5 years. Safari Outfitters was one of the brands we carried at the children’s toy store I managed. I love playing with toys so having kids is a great excuse to go out and have an adventure.
Thanks to Team Mom, Safari Outfitters sent me a cool set of toys for my kids to review.
Backyard Safari Outfitters equips young explorers with all the essential field gear they could possibly need for scoping out local “wildlife,” from insects in the grass to birds in the sky to frogs in a pond — and more! Kids can choose from a broad array of fun gear and tools, including the practical and very snappy looking Cargo Vest, as well as the cool Bug Vacuum, Mega View Periscope – among dozens of other choices.
The Maga View Periscope:
This thing is pretty cool. It is water proof on one end and it is extendable. We had a great time exploring it as a family. Zoe and Miles both took turns looking in it and Miles is so cute. Whenever he found Mommy, he would get so excited and say “I found mommy!!!” He was just too cute.
It is almost as big as she is not even being extended.
The Bug Vacuum has had some improvements since I last saw it. I was worried that it would scare them, but they were both very interested in it. I couldn’t even get it out of the package before they were both playing with it. You know I can’t stand bugs, but the kids are learning about them. We’ve been talking about bees and my son tried to touch one. I told him he can look but not to touch. Then today we were watching a spider crawl across the street, again they both tried to touch it. That just gives me the willys. I do however love when toys encourage learning, even if it is something I’m not so fond of. It comes with an extra bug capture case.
We also received a the Essential Field Gera Cargo Vest. This vest is for ages 5 and up and was just way to big for either of the children so I didn’t let them play with it at all. The back of the vest features a one-size-fits-all adjustable strap and two extra mesh pockets for storing extra gear. The front has plenty of pockets and places to load up and hide favorite toys and gear to go exploring.
