
Last week, I tried Calvados Boulard V.S.O.P. for the first time. This spirit is an apple brandy that starts out very strong and ends with just a hint of the fruit. I liked the elegant bottle and found an appreciation for the flavor, which was admittedly intense at first. I was pleased to be introduced to it!
Although the recommended serving is neat (as I enjoyed it) or on the rocks, it can also make a fine addition to a cocktail, such as in this recipe:

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. of Calvados Boulard V.S.O.P.
1 oz. of Hayman’s Old Tom Gin
2/3 oz. of lemon Juice
2/3 oz. of House-made GrenadineDirections:
Add all ingredients to shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into chilled cocktail glass.
