You know the crisper drawer in your fridge? Yes, the one that is supposed to be filled with lettuce, carrots, and other healthy goodies. Well, recently, mine was filled… FILLED with chocolate. Lindt sent me more chocolate than I could have imagined to sample… and throw a party with! A party, based on chocolate? Yes, please! Lindt Chocolate R.S.V.P. !
Lindt wants to bring their high quality chocolate to the world of direct sales. The new program called R.S.V.P. Lindt offers opportunities for chocolate aficionados to work with a great product at a whole new level. I received a kit to work as a sample R.S.V.P. representative so that I could test the program out and see what it was like.
What makes a Lindt R.S.V.P. party so special? Good question, I wondered the same thing myself. Why buy something, try something, or try to sell something that someone can just pick up at the store? First of all, a chocolate tasting party is more than just an excuse to eat some really good chocolate. It’s an entire experience. With the knowledge brought to an R.S.V.P. party, it becomes more than just tasting. It’s an educational experience that really allows you to notice different sensations that come along with the delicacy. Did you know that you truly learn about chocolate and rate its quality by observing it using your five senses? It’s true, Lindt chocolate goes through the 5 senses test allowing each participant to note the textures, appearance and even sound each piece makes.
This is one of the premiere chocolate companies worldwide. A direct sales approach definitely makes their product more accessible to the general public. R.S.V.P. Parties even offer Lindt product that is otherwise unavailable to consumers. Like what you ask? Well years ago, my college boyfriend (now husband) studied abroad in Europe. He brought back the most AMAZING chocolates. We called them “Mozart Balls.” I had never seen them before, and rationed them out as long as I could. I was THRILLED to see them in the variety bag of European chocolates!
Like any direct sales program, there is the opportunity to represent the brand, make commission, and build sales teams. While selling Lindt chocolate wouldn’t be a great fit for me, I can see how it would be a great opportunity for someone with a passion for chocolate and a connection with the right market. Would I ever buy from a Lindt R.S.V.P. Party? You better believe it!
