Popsicle Our Favorite Summer Activities Giveaway

Ok, so don’t tell my husband that I’m actually looking forward to camping this year. We attempted to go camping last year and well we intended for it to be perfect. you know. We checked out different camp grounds, found one with a beach and made a reservation. My husband said that camp sites fill up and then we wouldn’t be able to go camping if we did make a reservation. Our weekend came up and rain was in the forecast, it hadn’t started raining yet so we drove down the hour and a half to our campsite and as we were getting closer it started to rain a little. I was hoping that it would stop and it didn’t. We kept going. We got to our camp site put up our tent and it was raining and raining. The tent was wet we were wet, but guess what we had a blast. Summer is about fun and smiles and Popsicles and Yosicles.

What other Summer Activities do we enjoy?

Frisbee throwing in the neighborhood. We’ve been throwing the Frisbee and recruiting friends and neighbors as we find them. We’ve had up to five adults playing at one time with a few kids coming up and giving it a try every now and then. It’s been a big hit

Grilling parties and block parties are a blast. I’m really loving how connected our neighborhood is. It probably has something to do with the fact that a lot of us have kids that are all the same age, which means I have lots of kids to give Popsicle’s to.

    I love to go outside in the summer! I hate being all closed in, all winter long, so when summer comes, it’s out the door I go! I love hiking, camping, fishing, boating, swimming, tennis, and generally anything I can do outside, I’m there!

    We just love to be outside during the summer… nightly family bike rides, spending days in the pool, at the beach, at the park, at the sprayground. Playing at the park or in the backyard. The library is also another big thing for us during the library… lots of books to read during the down times (or rainy times).

    I just love to take my son to the pool or the beach or just play outside. There are so many option. We live in sunny Florida and it’s basically summer all year! My son loves the pool the most.

    The license plate game. We started this when our sons were little and every summer they have to track all the different state license plates they see and then learn the capital of that state.

    We have many nice, big lakes around here, but I like to go to a good-sized creek, cook weiners and marshamallows on the twigs we hand picked over the small fire we made and stay until dark, so we can enjoy the fire until we get through eating. We make sure we pour water over the fire to make sure it’s completely out.
